What would you think of a woman who got married twice, both times 6/7 months pregnant, having already had 4 children with a previous partner?

Both times to much younger men. A 20 year old the 1st time while woman was 26 and already had 4 DC, and a 24 year old when woman was 34 and now had 6 DC. It could be construed that the woman got pregnant to 'trap' these two men.

DC had no further contact with the first two fathers or fathers families (grandparents etc) due to hostility from the mother.

Would you regard this woman as not having made very good choices and being quite selfish in her needs? (1st 4 DC had 3 consecutive father's for instance).

Why?

SPsWouldCatFishNev · 28/11/2013 21:50

Why do you ask?

Beamur · 28/11/2013 21:50

I think she is a romantic optimist, who loves kids!
Seriously though, without knowing more, who can say.

FourAndDone · 28/11/2013 21:50

I wouldn't judge, because iv not walked a mile in her shoes. I would offer her a cup of coffee and a friendly smile. 6dc must be hard work Grin

Oswin · 28/11/2013 21:50

Sounds like Jeremy Kyle gold

Mumsyblouse · 28/11/2013 21:51

I can see why this amount of instability would have been very upsetting for you as a child. Why not post in Relationships and get some advice or sympathy over mother-dd relationships rather than here.

DioneTheDiabolist · 28/11/2013 21:51

I would think it was none of my business. I absolutely wouldn't think she had trapped anyone.Shock

I would think there were some really shitty irresponsible men out there.

OHforDUCKScake · 28/11/2013 21:54

I would think the men should wear a condom if they dont want kids and not agree to marry if they dont want to marry.

Thats what Id think.

trashcanjunkie · 28/11/2013 21:55

Aah I see. How old are you (if you don't mind me asking) and where do you fit in the order of birth? (oldest, middle etc). As her child, you are allowed to feel as though she has been selfish and made poor choices imo, but the way you put it is quite inflammatory. A mother with just one child can be a shit parent, whereas another mother with similar stats to yours could be a lovely mum. Do you feel like you have a shit mother op? Fwiw I feel I have an appalling mother who I don't have contact with.

OutragedFromLeeds · 28/11/2013 21:55

I would judge. Not openly, but I would give myself an injury from how high my judgypants were.

Mogz · 28/11/2013 21:55

I'd think it was none of my business and so long as she and her DC were all happy and healthy then I'd not give her past a second thought.

TheGreatWizardQuiQuaeQuod · 28/11/2013 21:56

I wouldn't give a shit as long as she was a loving mother who ensured a good life for her children. That's what matters. I would think she was wrong if she was needlessly hostile and prevented the children from having their fathers in their lives unless those fathers were a risk to the children, because that is unfair to the children.

As to 'trapping' anyone. pfft. Men know that sex can lead to pregnancy. If they don't want a baby, they should take personal responsibility and stick a condom on.

keepingupwiththejoneses that's very unkind. Op can't help the family she was born into. Shame on you.

Corygal · 28/11/2013 21:57

I'd think six kids was an awful lot of work to get on Jeremy Kyle. Not sure I'd fancy being one of the older kids either.

mmmuffins · 28/11/2013 21:57

I would think she is a woman who makes very poor choices, yes.
