No, I wasn't.

It was so crassly manipulative, Walt ok then oh dear bad stuff happens to Walt because of the meth. Up down up down. Because METH is Bad people.

And he is so so vile in his white underpants. WHY did we have to keep seeing him in his pants?

Watch The Sopranos Hully

It's the only TV show you'll ever really need.

Makes BB look like the amateur hour it is.

YABU

But I will forgive you if you hand over all the bacon and eggs that you have.

BunnyLebowski · 27/11/2013 22:54

Grin daddy

"You had me at meat tornado" Grin

FreudiansSlipper · 27/11/2013 22:56

I love The Sopranos and The Wire too all are fantastic the characters are all so complex

I love Dexter it is meant to be tongue-in-cheek series 1 and 4 are the best, have yet to watch the last series

IsabellaPasta · 27/11/2013 22:56

Loved Jesse. Loved Hank. Hated Walt.

BB doesn't compare to The Wire, which - in my opinion - so poignantly portrayed the decline of society and humanity over the past 30 years. Anyone who has lived through the Thatcher years will know what I mean.

diddlediddledumpling · 27/11/2013 22:58

I love Parks and Rec too. Ron Swanson is I e of the best characters on tv.
But he's no Walter White. Grin

BunnyLebowski · 27/11/2013 22:59

The Wire is great.

Flawed in places and just plain slow in others but a groundbreaking and wonderful show.

Dexter is tongue in cheek but by god it's repetitive and predictable and the characters show NO development from start to finish!

I really dislike the actor who plays Dexter with his pouty mouth and dead shark eyes.

AryaofhouseQuark · 27/11/2013 23:00

I love the wire, I have only just got in to it, really enjoying it and watching at least 2 episodes a night.

EmmaFreudsGivingMeJip · 27/11/2013 23:02

yabu.

Freudian I loved Dexter but the last series was a waste of time. Terrible ending, if you must watch it don't say I didn't warn you. You will be disappointed.

FreudiansSlipper · 27/11/2013 23:08

I agree Dexter 4 series would have been enough it does not have any depth to it

Sopranos/The Wire so much is going on, you get a real understanding of the characters you like and dislike them. both have a lot of humour in them too. Christopher's intervention is one of the funniest things i have ever seen

Cutitup · 27/11/2013 23:19

Netflix lovers: You must MUST watch Orange is the New Black. It is sublime. Fantastic telly. I loved BB too but not as much as OITNB. House of Cards is also very good.

neunundneunzigluftballons · 27/11/2013 23:20

The wire is stupendous no doubt, best series I have ever watched.

DreamlessSleep · 27/11/2013 23:23

Hate it too. Watched the 1st season with dh and cant stand it. It makes me feel ill.

BunnyLebowski · 27/11/2013 23:23

Orange is the New Black is my show of the year.

Bloody fantastic telly! I watched it all in a week then made DP watch it and watched it with him Grin .

Top of the Lake was my other TV highlight of 2013. Beautiful show.

neunundneunzigluftballons · 27/11/2013 23:23

that is a lot of time to waste on something you dislike so much

I felt like that but I kept waiting for it to get better. A friend was telling me it was just a guy thing based on this he was obviously wrong.

FairyFanjoAndFudge · 27/11/2013 23:25

YANBU. Watched it. Got bored.

Don't give up on box sets... Some are good Grin

Tweasels · 27/11/2013 23:35

I loved Breaking Bad but of course you're not unreasonable for not liking it, each to their own and all that.

Skyler took some getting used to, I must admit.

IamChristmas · 27/11/2013 23:43

Three words for you...Sons of Anarchy. That is all you need to know.

BunnyLebowski · 27/11/2013 23:44

Is it that good IAm?

It's between Sons of Anarchy, Justified and Boardwalk Empire for my next televisual undertaking. Hmmm.

Tweasels · 27/11/2013 23:47

I'm really enjoying Boardwalk Empire Bunny, definitely worth a look.

IamChristmas · 27/11/2013 23:51

I love Sons of Anarchy, it's brilliant and every season is a belter. But it does have some horrifying scenes so I wouldn't recommend it if you can't stand that kind of thing. There's usually 1or 2 mins in each episode where I'm hiding behind my hands shrieking, but the rest of it is incredibly funny/moving/exciting. And there are some very very beautiful men in it :)

BunnyLebowski · 27/11/2013 23:54

I can handle a bit of violence.

Anything for hot bearded bikers Grin

Tweasels I think I'd watch Boardwalk Empire for Stephen Graham alone. He's incredible.

I've heard very scathing reports of Kelly McDonald's Oirish accent - not sure if I can handle that as a native Grin

GoshAnneGorilla · 27/11/2013 23:56

Romanzo Criminale. Brilliant, especially as most of it actually happened.

It's only two series long and you can watch the first series on Sky Go.

BunnyLebowski · 27/11/2013 23:58

GoshAnne that show looks amazing and right up my street!

I love European crime stuff. I watched all of Spiral in a few weeks Blush

Thank you for the tip - off to ask DP to...ahem....acquire it!!

Tweasels · 28/11/2013 00:03

Oh, Kelly McDonald's accent is horrendous. I would imagine it would be especially hard to swallow if you're Irish. It wasn't until the third episode I realised she was meant to be Irish. I though she was meant to be Eastern European Blush. I do tend to have a drink of 3 when I watch it Grin
