Husband staring constantly at younger women.

I'm getting fed up with my DH staring at other women, usually those in their early 20s. I wouldn't mind him just looking..we all stare a bit at attractive people but he's started smiling a bit inanely and standing there with his mouth open and it's actually making me feel embarrassed. He's 48 and average looks, a bit overweight..I love him but I don't think a beautiful 20 year old would be beating a path to his door. He thinks he is still 20 I think.
The last straw was yesterday when we were at the shops behind two girls who obviously fancied themselves, flicking hair, pouting and looking to see who was watching them. In the car park, they let their trolley run across the car park whilst my DH is staring, smiling and making it obvious to them he thought they were hilarious. I'm waiting for him to unlock the car. I told him I felt a bit crap...old and unattractive all of a sudden. He said it was " hilarious " and I obviously don't have a sense of humour. I asked him if he would be laughing if two blokes let go of their trolley ( and it smashed into his car ) and he said he would have thought they were twats. I'm also annoyed that these girls were doing it all to make a scene..look at me sort of thing....and he thinks it's just for his benefit.

He is now in a mood says he's just being polite and friendly and now won't bother talking to anyone. Not sure if it's me or him?

This is an old thread but I remember some men doing the opposite - when I was young and pretty, I remember a few guys who were with their wives / girlfriends GLARING at me as if to make a point that they weren't interested. This made me as uncomfortable as ogling - plus, I was off out shopping / on my way to work, not dressed up like a stripper.

I remember quite a few oglers too, mind.

Also TAKE YOUR PHOTO DOWN. British newspapers trawl these threads for stories. You could easily end up on the front of the Daily Mail. This site isn't private.

OP... It's not 'special armed services', just saying.

StepintotheLightleave · 28/04/2016 20:14

I had a BF who used to do this. Awful.

Thank you small things, can't figure out how to take my pic down. 😩

Zoe are you in the habit of calling children sluts then?

I didn't like the word 'slutty' either. I don't like to see it and yes, I might call someone on it.

However, Zoe did not go as far as your comment suggests and I don't see what twisting a comment like that can possibly achieve.

I think that crosses the line to be honest, given the content.

Oh dear OP, leering is a bad habit for your dh to develop! He needs to nip it in the bud (no idea how to get him stop it though sorry...) Some men seem to lose their sense of discretion as they get older, or they never had one. I have a well endowed friend who took her dm out to lunch at a cafe. A mature couple sat down at a nearby table. The man just stared at my friend's breasts continuously throughout the meal, his poor wife acted like nothing was happening. Friend's dm was furious and kept glaring at him and loudly clearing her throat but the man was oblivious, completely transfixed by my friend's breasts. The worst part was that he kept licking his lips, God knows what was running through his mind! My dh had bloody well better not develop any pervy tendences!

The worst thing about it is that they think they could be in the running with the object of their leering. I hate to resort to stereotypes but so many men think they are hotter than they really are. Someone once said to me, if you compliment a woman she'll wonder what you are after and if you compliment a man he'll just believe you and accept it. Even my lovely dh has no problem believing he's a stud lol.
