I think it flies around a bit too much, but I am beginning to like it.

Apple's problem is that they are running out of innovation. What else can they actually make a phone do, realistically? So they have to go with GUI changes instead to be impressive and different.

Although, like I said, it's a bit Androidesque.

I don't like the icons much but they are growing on me.

The rest is awesome though.

There's certainly nothing "aesthetic" about the new design.

What would have been more innovative would have been if they had done the MN thing of retaining a "classic" layout option, giving choice.

That's pretty amazing that mumsnet does that, thinking about it.

I can't think of another company who would give choices like that because when they tried to update there were howls of protest who didn't like the changes.

Lylesmybaby - go to settings and then software update. Very straightforward -assuming it works-- Make sure your iPad is plugged in and charging.

Kyle go into settings - general - software update. Need to be more than 50 percent battery or plugged in, and connected to wifi not 3G.

I updated my phone and iPad last night and have been swearing quite a lot this morning.

I utterly hate it anyone else finding it impossible to log into mumsnet app?

I would imagine the MN app hasn't been updated for the new OS yet. Use the mobile site.

Orf you got that right. I know of no other web/digital company that does that.

I do wish there was a customize colours option as the green is eye bleedingly bright.

MN app is working fine for me.

DH downloaded it last night. His screen looked like a child's toy!

I was going to do it but I don't have 3GB of space free so until I do something about my 9GB of photos/ video I can't update it anyway. I am secretly glad.

The mumsnet mobile site is really good though, far prefer it to the desktop site. It's very clean looking.

How many versions of mumsnet are there? Classic, new, sober workplace, am sure there is another one. It must bea pain in the arse updating all the versions. BLESS mumsnet for doing that to keep us all happy.

I don't mind it, I like change. Only thing I don't like is the calendar and my alarm this morning had a different tone which confused me at 6.30am.

I hate it. It looks so basic and cheap.

I've just noticed the Marimba tone has gone!

It hasn't gone Wreck its hidden under classic tones in my iPad.

I don't like the horrible whiteness of iOS7. It makes my eyes tire really quickly. I would like it better if there were the option of changing to black.

I also don't like the zooming type effect when you click an app.

I agree about the whiteness, it's really too bright.

The colours are just all wrong. That blue is vile.

If you go to Accessibility in Settings, under General, you can change it to black.

Also, the colour of the folders depends upon the colour of your background.

There's nothing to be done about the horrible green, however.

DP has downloaded it, I'm resisting as long as possible. It looks cheap and nasty, I don't like it.

Changing it to black makes it ten times worse! I really don't understand the benefits. I'm clearly missing something.

You can't change it to black. You can put your entire ipad so that its all in negative but then all my picture etc are the wrong colours. I just want to change the operating system to black.
