What kind of twattery is this??!

I read that it reduces an iphone 5's battery life by about 1/3. That would mean having to carry a charger around, a bit like with the phones I used to have in the 90s (that dates me...).

larrygrylls Only because there are so many interactive features, which you can turn off. It's automatic now that the apps automatically update and run in the background, which means they're updating and using GPS (if enabled), so you can turn that off in settings. There's also a feature that makes the background move around slightly which is a bit of a drain as well, that can be turned off as well. I don't have to charge mine any more than I did before the update.

Thanks for the info. Still not sure I can be bothered though, and then amend the settings. Only just got the phone (upgrade) and no issues with it.

I don't like the calendar. I used to like it, as a list. Which you can get if you press magnifying glass, but it doesn't set it as a default, and whilst you have the list, under he magnifying glass bit, you can't add to it. = useless.

All my facebook people are raving about it. 'Oh I love it'.

I have it on my iphone, i like it. But my ipad is still the same? I downladed and installed but nothing has changed?

The notification centre is great. Everything I need to know about today and more without opening up various apps.

Liking the control centre. Makes doing certain things quicker.

I like the torch. But then I did have a torch app.

I like the new button on the calendar. Shows anything new added to my calendars.

I like that when I got a call from a number I don't know, it was easy to switch from phone to net to search the number. Plus other multitask features.

I like the airdrop. Was using it earlier in work.

I like the new weather app.

Things won't stop running if you don't update. I have an iPhone 4 running ios4. It does mean you can't get some newer apps and iplayer won't work any more. But Facebook, mn, instagram, candy crush, radioplayer, safari, email, all fine. And that's what I use!

I dislike the calender and notes, I liked that they looked real. Sob.

I've now updated my phone - waiting to see how I like it before I do the ipad. I do like the fact that I can have subtitles on my videos, though.

If you mean the default Radar sound then i might have trouble waking up to that, but my alarm is still on Bell Tower which would wake the dead. You csn find it under the Classics list.

What you lot need is a really crappy old iPhone that apple refuse to acknowledge the existence of any more. Then they don't bother updating anything.
