He KEEPS using the C word .. Out of all swear words I hate that the most .. Would you wash his mouth out with soap ? I am aware he may swear outside (which Im not pleased with) but in front of me disgusts me . .

OP posts:

I have to teach my kindle to swear.

It's a right bloody prude.

MadBusLady · 16/09/2013 18:11

Righto, Makehay, bye!

Right, own up, which one of you fuckers was talking about morals?

LegArmpits · 16/09/2013 18:12

I vividly remember a boy in infant school having his mouth washed out with a bar of white school soap.

usualsuspect · 16/09/2013 18:13

What's a MN record?

YouTheCat · 16/09/2013 18:14

Surely it's all cds and mp3 files now?

MadBusLady · 16/09/2013 18:16

You think Olivia has dossiers? Shock

wannaBe · 16/09/2013 18:17

Interestingly, I posted a thread on here a couple of years ago (under a namechange) after a mum of a child in ds' class stated that her ds would have his mouth washed out with soap for his behaviour. She went on to say that he'd previously hidden the bars of soap so this couldn't be done so they'd used shower gell instead. Shock Sad I agonised over what to do with this information and came to mn.

Unfortunately the thread is no longer there (was posted in chat), but I was pretty much met with a barrage of "keep out of it, it's none of your business, I had this done to me as a child and I never did x/y again, she may be at the end of her tether, you don't know the circumstances," etc. Hmm

So depending on when you post op, you might well get vastly different responses.

I dread to think.what my MN records are filed under.

I'm pretty shocked that people are shocked by what i said happened really - I shouldn't of put it on in the first place, i remember doing it as a family friend was taking us out somewhere nice like the circus or something major like that and i tried to look "pretty" - I remember being screamed at that i "look like a fucking whore" and having it scrubbed off but as far as does this kind of punishment work - Yes - I never went near it again. Only recently my mum mentioned it, giggling, saying "remember that time you come upstairs looking like coco the clown and we had to scrub ya face off" - I did have a black eye, which probably wasn't intentional, but i think "abuse" is a bit strong of a word to use. Didn't really think of this as a big deal tbh

gamerchick · 16/09/2013 18:23

Man this place is nuts. Last night a mother came on and mentioned she was planning on covering up her actually abused 7 yr old and got loads of sympathy.. and this Op cones on suggesting a punishment and gets strips torn off.

Isn't the Internet amazing? [Grin]

AnyFucker · 16/09/2013 18:24

I think it's a massive deal, allfor

YouTheCat · 16/09/2013 18:26

Allfor, I'd call that abuse.

A stern 'no' and telling you to go and wash your face would be fair enough but physically holding you down and causing injury is abuse.

judgejudithjudy · 16/09/2013 18:27

whoa - OP didnt say she WAS going to do it - she was probably just sounding off. OP come back.

FlapJackFlossie · 16/09/2013 18:28

Nah - s'not abuse. It never did us any harm - we only swore once! Grin

OliviaMMumsnet · 16/09/2013 18:31

gamer if this is the same thread I'm thinking of (and I really hope there aren't two!) she got loads of sympathy for being in an abusive relationship, and got told to call the police re: the 7yo, which she did.
