Here's an extract of the lyrics if you are lucky enough to have not been subjected to them...

Baby, it's in your nature
Just let me liberate you
You don't need no papers
That man is not your maker
And that's why I'm gon' take a
Good girl
I know you want it
I know you want it
I know you want it
You're a good girl

I'll give you something big enough to tear your ass in two

Nothin' like your last guy, he too square for you
He don't smack that ass and pull your hair like that
So I'm just watching and waitin'
For you to salute the true big pimpin'

Do it like it hurt, like it hurt
What you don't like work

I know it's a bit old now... But it still makes me so Angry

I'd rather be 'cool and laid back' than enmeshed in Daily Mail hysteria, to be honest.

Mintyy · 17/08/2013 21:04

Why do you say "enmeshed in Daily Mail hysteria"?

SPBisResisting · 17/08/2013 21:05

And id prefer to say I hate songs about splitting "good girls" in two

PrincessFlirtyPants · 17/08/2013 21:13

"Enmeshed in Daily Mail hysteria" Hmm

Maybe some of us are just concerned by the content of the song and the video that they have produced.

Also, to answer a previous question there is nothing wrong with hair pulling and ass slapping if that's what the woman wants during sex, the problem is that the girl has to be told that's what she wants I know you want it just let me liberate you. If its consensual ass slapping and hair pulling the girl would have said that's what she wanted

Maybe instead of being a pearl clutching Daily Mail reader, I'm just fucking sick of some men and their dirty fantasies about "good girls".

TobyLerone · 17/08/2013 21:14

The Daily Mail probably sees nothing wrong with this song.

Wasapea · 17/08/2013 21:20

You know it's not LITERALLY about cutting people in half, yes?

Mintyy · 17/08/2013 21:26

Curious as to why you think you know what the song is about, when those of us who dislike it don't know what the song is about Wasabe.

Are you Mr Thicke?

SPBisResisting · 17/08/2013 21:27

Oh silly me. Just violent anal sex with a "good girl" that he "knows wants it"
So much better

Buttercup4 · 17/08/2013 21:30

Grim lyrics. I read them before I listened to the admittedly catchy song. The rapper says them in a sort of bouncy, innocent rather than menacing way but that's the problem, isn't it? That this sort of stuff is mainstream and references to casual horrific violence is acceptable.

Wasapea · 17/08/2013 21:39

Yes, I'm Robin Thicke. Christ Almighty.

limitedperiodonly · 17/08/2013 21:44

I think it's about persuading a sexually inexperienced young woman to have violent anal sex wasapea. Though there may be other nuances that I've missed.

If I'm wrong, can you please explain, because you keep promising to and haven't delivered yet, and no-one likes a prick-tease now, do they?

Wasapea · 17/08/2013 21:50

Erm. Okay. Not quite sure where to start with that one. Where does it suggest it's non-consensual? Also, 'prick tease' is quite a horrible phrase. Not sure how that makes you better than Robin Thicke.

SPBisResisting · 17/08/2013 21:53

"I know you want it"
Never heard that said when the other person is a willing participant. Goes without saying then. Usually used in a persuasive way when encountering reluctance.

SPBisResisting · 17/08/2013 21:54

I can carry on but you've already indicated you don't know your argument, do you want me to?

Buttercup4 · 17/08/2013 21:55

I think you should re read the lyrics Wasapea... It's quite clear that its not consensual. The girl in the song has to be told what she wants.

This has been explained to you a number of times by different posters... I don't know what more anyone can do to educate you on the issue. The problem here is you aren't even trying to understand.

Wasapea · 17/08/2013 22:00

No, no. I don't want you to educate me. I'm absolutely fine on that score. Thank you, though.

The key issue is I disagree with you. Sorry about that.

SPBisResisting · 17/08/2013 22:00

No problem :)

limitedperiodonly · 17/08/2013 22:03

I don't claim to be better than Robin Thicke. You're the one who's defending him here. And it is what men claim to be prick-teasy behaviour to promise and not deliver. And to behave all coyly and erm, okayish. Which is what you've done.

I'm just calling it like I see it in this world that you want to live in, or don't you want it? Make your mind up.

Like SPB said, if anyone says ?I know you want it? they?re coercing you. If you don't understand that then I'd suggest that you're the one that's being naive, not me.

I?ve never had anal sex, violent or otherwise. I may be missing out but it?s a chance I?ll take.

But who knows, maybe if the Robin Thickes of this world were willing to put their arses where their mouths were first I might be willing to give it a whirl.

gordyslovesheep · 17/08/2013 22:04

okay take the catchy beat out ...you are in a club or walking down the road and some bloke shouts/says to you

'oi darlin I know you want it are you a good girl, I'll give you something big enough to tear your ass in two, bet your last boyfriend was a right wuss how didn't smack that ass and pull your hair do you like to do it like it hurt

you'd be flattered and happy for him to buy you a drink - he's just being friendly and not at all rapey?

Buttercup4 · 17/08/2013 22:04

Oh my apologies, you are just coming across as uneducated. Wink

SPBisResisting · 17/08/2013 22:05

"put their arses where their mouths were "
interesting mental image there...

limitedperiodonly · 17/08/2013 22:07

I know he wants it spb Wink

SPBisResisting · 17/08/2013 22:08

Ah it's "were" not "are". I was imagining contortionists
