I'd never heard of him but think he looks okay for it. However, I do think it's v boring that it's always a white male.

Matt Smith had a weird shaped head. David Tennant I just really dislike for apparently irrational reasons.

Peter Capaldi is (let's keep in MT style) fucking awesome. I may actually watch some now... didn't bother with either of the above.

They always used to be old. so I suppose it's a return to form. I think he's a bit old to be escapism eye candy. I mean, if he were my friend's husband I'd think she'd done ok, but on tv? the doctor ?? I agree with the OP. I bet his side kick will be about 19 as well. fgs.

He was nice when he was younger though, I used to see him about in Muswell Hill in the 90s. He used to go to a café beside Sainsbury's.

Love Peter Capaldi, - I think he'll bring real class to the role, - can't wait to start watching again (stopped watching half way through the Matt Smith incumbency - too much bouncing about!)

Funnily enough I am capable of enjoying a comedy/action/science fiction drama even if I don't want to shag the lead much. Am I about to get drummed out of MN?

In other shocking news, I like Horrible Histories because I find it entertaining, and do not have an order in which I would do the leading men .

YABU. Doctor Who isn't meant to be a sex symbol. Fancying him is a bonus but it's not the crux of the show! To be honest i could care less if all the shallow viewers stop watching, the show has enough real fans.
