The most boring drug in the world.

For the people not taking it?

Just been to a 'party' at a house. Big divide between the drug takers and the non drug takers. Drug takers up and down the stairs for a line. No conversation. The rest of us flailing in the non atmosphere.

Grrr. I work in a bar so I put up with this shit at work. Now it's every time I go out for a drink or to a house.

I'm with SwallowedAFly; A few lines would be great, but that was never enough.
It can be great fun but it can take you prisoner too.
It can take over your life to the exclusion of everything else.
But then so can alcohol.

Buying coke supports crime across the world, but I wonder how many of us wouldn't buy diamonds and gold because of the terrible treatment of the miners in Africa.

It is possible these days to buy Fairtrade diamonds and gold, buy most of us don't.

A guy I went to school with dropped dead of a heart attack aged about 28, he was known as a big cocain user.

I know a couple of other people who died drug related deaths too. Very sad. Why do people do stupid things?

i don't buy diamonds and gold. tbf i don't buy coke either. if it's shoved in front of me once in a blue moon i won't say no but it is obscenely expensive.

yes and many of the people commenting probably do too tsc hence their ending up on this thread.

TSC, I seem to remember you living quite near me, so there have been 2 big news stories of lads in their 20's dying in the last 3 months, one military. I knew both of them.

I know others who have collapsed after a heavy weekend and ended up on life support with collapsed lungs etc.

This really is a sad and pathetic thread who wants to hear about people who are so desperate for a life they have to talk about "COCAINE" why dont we talk about having a fag round the back of the "BIKE SHEDS" people need to grow up. For people who are addicted to Class A Drugs i feel very sorry for them and it s not a subject to talk about.

i think that's probably a good example of why drugs education is so miserably ineffective in this country if the best people like yourselves can come up with is 'sad and pathetic' and a demand that we shouldn't talk about it in any other way than black and white 2dimensional terms.

that and the inability to differentiate between responsible grown ups talking fondly about a long ago era that actually for them personally did them no harm, though they're aware of those that it did, and drug addicts and criminals who must have needed police intervention.

I don't get your point, Tabitha? I moan about those things a lot. Being at the sharp end of the issues you mentioned, I couldn't afford drugs if I wanted ... though I do stretch to some alcohol & tobacco, and get antidepressants on prescription.

My still-rich friends, by contrast, buy lots of cocaine and other under-the-counter substances. The majority do at least £80 of coke most evenings, at home. They probably do some more in the morning to get going, but they wouldn't tell me that these days. They emphatically don't share my politics!

Maybe you meant that "losers" are the ones who can't afford cocaine, due to those issues?

I can't believe that you went to a party, where the host + 80% were taking coke. 80%? Shock
I have been to parties, with famous people, huge parties, but still the proportion of people taking something was minimal.
If you don't partake, then you need new friends.
