The most boring drug in the world.

For the people not taking it?

Just been to a 'party' at a house. Big divide between the drug takers and the non drug takers. Drug takers up and down the stairs for a line. No conversation. The rest of us flailing in the non atmosphere.

Grrr. I work in a bar so I put up with this shit at work. Now it's every time I go out for a drink or to a house.

AIBU to think bore off you boring bastards?

I don't see how it helps if you feel good but everyone else thinks you are still tedious and boring. Much better to get a life.

Who are all these coke taking fiends? I live in a small village and here the 40 somethings still trying to be cool are the ones dodging in and out for cigs not coke!
I genuinely think it is a bit sad and embarrassing to still be doing coke at this age. A few of our friends did it in their 20s but all of us have grown out of that now, especially now we have dc. Not that we have turned into boring bastards but we can have a great evening with either a few glasses of wine (or none).

Coke really does bring out the dick in people, sqoosh.

Plus when people are constantly disappearing for a toot that is not going to contribute to a great party.

Why were they disappearing to do it in their own home? I'd just be racking up and telling anyone with a problem to trot on!

Although total non issue for me now, I find people that don't grow out of recreational drug use a bit lame.

garlicagain I was in a club the other night. The kids in one of the rooms were all on coke and godknows what else. It was very hostile, people elbowing you out of the way, trampling on you and just not nice.

The actual grown up clubbers in the trance room were all huggy and lovey. I concluded the difference was E and the music. I'd forgotten what it was like to have random strangers just hug you and be smiley.

I don't mind other people taking it, I can handle it if I'm drinking champagne. I'm just so glad I don't do any of that stuff these days.

its never appealed to me but isn't it the same as drinkers and non drinkers?
being pregnant and not drinking makes you realise just how annoying pissed people are(and just like I am when ive had a few probably!)

On what I'd prefer people in room on, I'd choose coke over pretty much anything else. Can't stand stoned people, even over fags it's boring when people have to go outside to smoke.

Not that people at a party have to be on anything of course, but if I had to choose for some of the other people so I would still have a great time.

I'd walk out if it was a group of people all stoned. I'd stay at a party if most were drinking, some not at all on water and a few taking this stuff.

I have no problems with coke though, it's always been part of my friendship group and we've all been friends for 10+ years and most are well in to their 30s now. I've never noticed a divide between non takers and takers on a night out though.

there is no drug, including alcohol, that makes people more interesting. Those who have to get under the influence of something to have fun are by definition extremely dull.

leave them to it.

what is tragic about coke is how greedy it is. there's no other drug (bar crack and heroin which i'm putting on a different shelf it seems) that so makes the taker want to take more and more and more rather than ever reach a point of pleasantly fucked now thanks so let's get on with enjoying ourselves.

i'm seeing a lot of people in fucked up situations of debt and all sorts around these days who are still managing to be able to stick coke up their nose in the pub car park of a week night.

i'm not anti drugs but i do think coke is dodgy in that it seems so innocuous and it really isn't.

in my policing days a good percentage of callouts were due to drug users.....coke is not innocent. cant believe so many are so accepting of it really.
