The most boring drug in the world.

For the people not taking it?

Just been to a 'party' at a house. Big divide between the drug takers and the non drug takers. Drug takers up and down the stairs for a line. No conversation. The rest of us flailing in the non atmosphere.

Grrr. I work in a bar so I put up with this shit at work. Now it's every time I go out for a drink or to a house.

Coke is a bad drug from the point of view of where it comes from - see the drug wars in Mexico and Columbia for starters that have killed thousands, maybe more.

I couldn't take it knowing that.

Also I know of women in their 40s upwards who really are 'coke whores' they can't afford the coke so sleep with the dealers.

Coke makes people into boring idiots but I've also seen patients who've had heart attacks due to coke (one was only 29).

I hate coke.

YABU, only in the sense that all drugs are boring (booze included) if everyone else in the party is doing them and you're not. Time to find some new friends methinks.

I remember being at a party where pretty much everyone was doing it and quite apart from the disgusting bits of white 'froth' in the corners of their mouths they really did all think they were really interesting.
As the only sober person there I can confirm that neither they or their conversation were interesting.

The only people I know who take coke are boring 50 something blokes. They were boring before they took it, now they are boring and high.

Drugs are for mugs.

Your either into partying or your not, it's a lifestyle choice. Personally I adore live music and getting spannered.

I absolutely hate drugs and everything that goes with it /them.

I'm always surprised by how many people seem totally oblivious to it happening in their area. I guess it depends who you mix with but I live in a very peaceful rural Norfolk town and my ex used to take coke and halfof his friends too (all from the same town). You'd have no idea looking at them. Every night out ended up with them off their tits on coke.

Needless to say, he became an ex shortly after I realised what he was doing.

And there's me being a naive idiot and thinking how good he was that he never really drank much, just coffees etc - he was snorting stuff up his nose in the toilets!

And it has to be a party where there's enough going on, other people to talk to. Not at a pub (not that I really go to pubs anymore). Not at a dinner party.

Any situation in which people are taking a mood/behaviour altering substance and you are not inevitably ends up being dull for the sober ones. Alcohol is the same - nothng more dull than being sober in a room full of drunk people!

YANBU. Coke basically over-rides the chip people normally have which alerts them to when they are becoming boring/shorty/self-absorbed and makes them think they are totally fascinating.

I used to do it quite a bit and one of the things that turned me off it was I got tired of listening to people shouting their tedious opinions over the top of others voiced with no sense that this was boring or inappropriate.

I tried it when i was younger. It did make everything seem much more fun, even though we were just sat around talking mindless shit at 100mph.

Yes I probably did bore others but no more that when I have had more than 2 g&t's like most people unless you have become that bore too then who cares apart from the sober people moaning how boring everyone else is mmm
