I've absolutely loved the thread on crap stuff people have bought (and now know which washing machines/hoovers/deodorants to avoid).

Thought it might be interesting to see which products/appliances you love, be they beauty, household stuff, pet products, etc. Always useful to get 'thumbs-ups' from people. And as someone who rarely wears make-up (because I don't know what I'm buying/how to apply the damn stuff) it would be great to hear about essential beauty buys, rather than what the magazines tell us to buy. Beauty Editors seem to make a lot more money than most women.

For me it's my gadgets - iPod, Beats headphones (amazing sound quality on them) and my Kindle (even though I'm still buying stupid amounts of 'real' books too - they're so cheap in charity shops and supermarkets!).

So, what would/could you not be without?

Original Source Tea Tree and Mint Conditioner, which I use to wash my hair. Lovely stuff but sadly discontinued. I did find it in the pound shop the other day though so have stocked up.

SmartCafe cafetiere mug. It means I can have proper coffee every day at work without paying a fortune for it.

Sure roll on deodorant, the quick dry one.

Gap low-rise knickers. I've finally found my perfect knickers! So comfy and they come in lots of pretty designs too.

Ipod touch. If it broke, I would immediately buy another one, no question asked.

thebestpossibletaste · 30/05/2013 11:17

I love my

iphone and ipad (my treat to myself when I put in a lot of hours at work)
Kindle (much easier to read on than the ipad, I use my ipad for surfing etc)
Method cleaning stuff
Hotel Chocolat tasting club chocolates
Dyson Animal vacuum cleaner (it's on the way out after eleven years I think and I will definitely buy another, so fab at getting pet hairs off the carpets)
Southern Comfort!
Bras from Bravissimo

FryOneFatManic · 30/05/2013 11:19

I don't have a lot of makeup, but I do use Maybelline Great Lash mascara. Doesn't clump and is a great budget buy.

I also like my Samsung Galaxy Ace, and when I get a chance I'll upgrade to one of the bigger galaxy phones.

ComposHat · 30/05/2013 11:20

stardrops cleaner
Seabrook s crisps
Catsan Gold cat litter.

Pobblewhohasnotoes · 30/05/2013 11:22

Miele vacuum cleaner - it's truly brilliant. Does way better than Dyson in the Which reviews too.

Lidl ice cream is lovely, especially the Tiramisu flavour.

I've been told Aldi nappies are good.

ComposHat · 30/05/2013 11:22

Aldi three ply loo roll, amazing stuff.

vladthedisorganised · 30/05/2013 11:52

Oliva soap - can only get it from the Ecover catalogue but smells nice, doesn't use palm oil and is friendly to dry skin (and small babies)

nowwhat · 30/05/2013 12:04

Benefit tinted moisturiser, foundation and facial scrub

Maybelline mascara (the cheap one in the pink and green tube)

Herbal Essences 2 in 1

Marks and Spencers ready meals

Flash with Febreze (because I'm pregnant and addicted to the smell of it)

Havaianas flip flops

Toms shoes

Got some Aldi nappies ready to try based on mumsnet recommendation!

HappyAsEyeAm · 30/05/2013 12:08

Ysl touche eclat foundation. Just swapped from chanel aqualumiere, which was also v v good, but the ysl one is the business.

Benefit high beam.

Keratase hair products.

Denman hair brushes.

Kelloggs cereals.

Pampers nappies.

Ariel washing liquid tabs, lenor fabric softener.

Christy towels.

Flexitol hydrate moisturiser and flexitol heel balm.

Laura ashley for drapery fabrics, cushions, furniture and bedding. I also love their upholstery, but my love has been tainted by stories of bad experiences on MN recently.

Jojo maman bebe baby and childrens clothes. They are beautiful designs, with proper applique rather than transfers, and they was brilliantly well. DS2 is wearing all of DS1's clothes from jojo and they are as new.

Lancome mascara.

Colgate toothpaste.

Gap socks for children.

GHDs.

I could go on forever. I have serious brand loyalty.

DragonMamma · 30/05/2013 12:14

Havaianas - they are worn pretty much daily from March to October.
Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser
Miele hoover - never going back to other brands.
PG tips pyramids
Tanqueray gin
Coco madamoiselle
My car - I hate having to walk unless I want to and public transport around here is dire

Latara · 30/05/2013 12:14

Clinique Superdefense spf 25 face cream for normal to dry skin (no. 2).

Latara · 30/05/2013 12:18

and a Brew - i crave tea if i don't have a cuppa regularly! I can go without alcohol but not tea.

I like Twinings Afternoon Tea at home.

At work i drink Tetley's or PG Tips and it has to be made with skimmed or semi-skimmed milk (about 20mls maximum) put in after the tea is brewed.

I call it a cuppa builders' cos it has to be like builders' tea, as strong as possible.

Latara · 30/05/2013 12:20

My cat is addicted to IAMS (for long-haired cats); and Gourmet Solitaire cat food (Trout flavour).

quesadilla · 30/05/2013 12:25

M&S lasagne
Norwegian formula hand cream
Clinique moisturiser
MOP mixed greens shampoo
Marmite
McVities dark chocolate digestives

Apart from that I am pretty fickle and don't really notice brands when they are good, only when they are bad.

ephemeralfairy · 30/05/2013 12:26

Garnier moisturisers and BB cream. (better than Clinique for me!!)
Garnier under-eye roll-on.
Body Shop all-in-one compact make-up.
Barry M nail varnish. (cheap, great colours and lasts ages)
Any Max Factor mascara. (I like Volume Million at the moment)
Soap and Glory hand cream, body lotion and body scrub. (I literally have to stop myself eating it, it smells so yum)
Lidl Cien shower gel and hand-wash.
ASDA hummus.
Marmite

quesadilla · 30/05/2013 12:26

DragonMamma seconding Havaiana. Thankyou

alabasterangel · 30/05/2013 12:35

Ponds cold cream (slap it all over your face, wipe off with a warm damp flannel, every last bit of makeup comes off easily and your skin is supersoft, and it's only about £3)

Handheld dyson. Barely use the big hoover any more.

iPad
