I've absolutely loved the thread on crap stuff people have bought (and now know which washing machines/hoovers/deodorants to avoid).

Thought it might be interesting to see which products/appliances you love, be they beauty, household stuff, pet products, etc. Always useful to get 'thumbs-ups' from people. And as someone who rarely wears make-up (because I don't know what I'm buying/how to apply the damn stuff) it would be great to hear about essential beauty buys, rather than what the magazines tell us to buy. Beauty Editors seem to make a lot more money than most women.

For me it's my gadgets - iPod, Beats headphones (amazing sound quality on them) and my Kindle (even though I'm still buying stupid amounts of 'real' books too - they're so cheap in charity shops and supermarkets!).

So, what would/could you not be without?

Aldi Choco Bars. Absolutely delicious.

Superdrug Vitamin E Radiance Moisturiser. I adore it, its £2.99 and often part of the 2 for £3 offer they do. It makes me look awake after my morning shower.

Flash Kitchen/Bathroom bleach spray. I have one on the go in both rooms. I can just spray and leave it. My tiny shitty mosaic tiles look so much better and the grout whiter. Doesn't make me gag like most other bleach sprays.

Golden Grahams. Delicious and if i don't hide them they get eaten by the kids too.

100% cotton bedding. I have nothing against polycotton mixes ( I still use when my cotton set is in the wash :o) but I'm now converted after sleeping in a hotel bed and having the best nights sleep i'd had in a long time. No sweatiness or needing a drink of water in the night. The thread count wasn't even that high (400?!) but I really notice the difference and even if its raining I hang it on the line for the smell before bunging it in the dryer.

Emjoi Micro-pedi At the risk of sounding dull I'll just say treat yourself.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 29/05/2013 17:27

Twinings Earl Grey
Benetint
Sure deodorant in the black packaging
John Frieda foam hair dye
Urban Decay Naked palette
M&S knickers in a certain style and fabric (everything else itches or irritates)
Fantasie bras
Muji notebooks
Nairns or Rick Stein oatcakes
Soreen malt loaf
HP sauce

That's about it - otherwise I go for what's on offer.

EstelleGetty · 29/05/2013 17:30

Kiehls BB cream
Freya bras
Burts Bees lipbalm
Avene no-rinse cleanser
Dr Organic Rose Otto shampoo and conditioner (on offer in Holland and Barrett right now!)
Though I totally agree about Supersoft conditioner from Poundland - it's ace
Diptyque Do Son, Philosokos or Volutes perfume
My Ipod touch
Soda crystals for cleaning
A weekly dose of Pick Me Up or Chat magazine
Mariage Freres French Blue tea

Heartbrokenmum73 · 29/05/2013 17:31

Delighted I started this now! Went away, did the washing up (while listening to iPod, natch, on shitty little dock) and made tea for DS. Came back to all this loveliness. I am seriously going to get a notebook and start writing things down from this thread.

And yy to whoever said upthread 'Pepsi Max' - I'm an absolute fiend for it and it's BOGOF at Tesco at the moment.

Also forgot my straighteners (not GHD, sadly) and my beloved Nintendo 3DS XL - couldn't live without Phoenix Wright/Prof Layton/Picross.

OP posts:
tattyteddy · 29/05/2013 17:31

I agree about Ghd hair straightners, and my Bosch washing machine (it's 10 years old and still going strong).

Also love my iPhone and Twinnings chai tea bags x

SmiteYouWithThunderbolts · 29/05/2013 17:32

Yorkshire tea... everything else tastes like dishwaster
Tesco value UHT soya milk... tastes exactly like Alpro but is half the price per litre
Microfibre dusters... no more fluffy bits or smeary patches if I clean the windows with them
Boots No 17 Peep Show mascara... best mascara I've ever used AND it's a bargain
Huggies Aloe Vera baby wipes... smell lovely
Samsung Galaxy Note 2... I finally abandoned my iPhone and love my new one. It's half phone, half tablet (or phablet if you will). Amazing.
White Zinfandel wine... the perfect balance of fruity flavours. Very drinkable & versatile.

LittleprincessinGOLDrocks · 29/05/2013 17:35

Tesco Red label tea bags
Tesco Gold coffee
Tumble Dryer - the only Hotpoint appliance I have been happy with.
My Fridge! It is a Daewoo American style fridge freezer, with ice dispenser. I love it. It was a wedding gift from my lovely Grandparents so it is extra special Smile .
Max factor foundation
Clinique lipstick.

Heartbrokenmum73 · 29/05/2013 17:42

Definitely agree with the JellyBean Factory - have them as a treat sometimes and enjoy the whole 'mixing the flavours to make a new one' thing. It really works!

Nespresso coffee machines and capsules
Tempur mattress

TheRealFellatio · 29/05/2013 17:45

And all of my bedding which a range of brands but is all white, or shades of white, and all very high thread count 100% cotton. I detest any polyester content in bedlinen. Even my children abhor it, and can tell the difference. Like the princess and the pea. Grin

YourMaNoBraBackOfMyCar · 29/05/2013 17:46

Smite, do you have a Lloyds pharmacy near to you? if so Aloe Vera babywipes are reduced to £1.
