I've been reading the recent bra threads and love it when people are shocked to discover they are actually a 32F and not a 40A.

So, if you have recently had a bra intervention by Sorrel, SC and others, can you answer the following please:

What size were you wearing?
Who fitted you? (Name and shame please)
What size are you now?

I would like to join in please and would appreciate some help.
I have just measured myself the way described. Around my chest is 29 inches and over the fullest is 35 inches. What does that mean? I normally wear 34 a or b.

Housemum · 28/02/2013 12:27

35.5" under, 42" in all sagginess around

currently in a 38B from M&S

what should I be, please? And any recommendations for bras that aren't moulded cups but are still pretty?

HazleNutt · 28/02/2013 12:27

McPie I and several others have found that at least Shock Absorber sports bras run small, I need to go up a back size.

lilibet · 28/02/2013 12:31

I'm 35 and 44

and I'm sorry if I'm being dense but I don't understand scooping? Hmm

diddl · 28/02/2013 12:33

I seriously doubt that I could get in a 70cm band tbh.

Just measured my bra band & it´s 70cm-on a size 80cm!

I guess it started off as less than that!

McPie · 28/02/2013 12:37

So in normal bras I could try 34F, 34EE or a 34FF then? I take it the same can be said for sports bras but try the 36 too or would going up a band mess with the cup size?
Gosh Im going to have fun trying on bras soon as Im wearing a 40C and can get my full hand and some in the cup just now!

LemonBreeland · 28/02/2013 12:40

Housemum Try a 36F or 36G. Look at bravissimo for pretty bras.

Portofino · 28/02/2013 12:41

How did I miss this? I am going to measure when I get home.

HazleNutt · 28/02/2013 12:41

Ah but diddil, so if you put the 80 bra on, it still has 10 cm room to stretch. That would mean your breast can drag it down and up your back for 10 extra cm. Try a 70, werll ok start with 75 is you wish, as some brands run smaller too, just back to front. If it's tight, but you can still breathe, then that's your size, just in a bigger cuo.

stretch · 28/02/2013 12:42

Ok, can i ask what 'four-boobs' is? I mean, I scoop and my nipples come out of the top of the cup? I don't really get four boobs Confused

LemonBreeland · 28/02/2013 12:42

Siriusstar a 28FF or if a 30F is probably a good start for you.

HazleNutt · 28/02/2013 12:42

cup, that is.
McPie yes try a 36 in sports bras too, in Shock absorber for example I went up a back size, but kept the same cup.

gnushoes · 28/02/2013 12:44

Please help! I have wings under my armpits and thought it was old age. Also no boobs. Measurement 29.5 under and 33-33.5 over. Currently in 34A, which depending on bra rides up or is empty...

HazleNutt · 28/02/2013 12:48

stretch, four-boob is when your breasts don't really fit into the cup, but try to climb out over the edge.

HazleNutt · 28/02/2013 12:49

gnushoes try around 28-30 and D-DD cups.

HazleNutt · 28/02/2013 12:49

30C might work as well

Housemum · 28/02/2013 12:51

Can I ask a realy stupid question - are we really all so much bigger these days? I don't think anyone here has measured less than a DD? Who on earth are the B/C cup people?

gnushoes · 28/02/2013 12:52

28-30 D or DD? faints
thank you!

gnushoes · 28/02/2013 12:53

even a C would be nice!
will go shopping tmorrow or saturday.

HazleNutt · 28/02/2013 12:53

I personally don't think we are that much bigger. A bit maybe, as people are generally getting heavier, but not much. Just that finally, some bra manufacturers are actually making sizes to fit our boobs and we are not forced to squeeze boobs into whatever bra is available.

Hi, can you do my daughter, she is 27 and 31.

McPie · 28/02/2013 12:58

Thank you ever so much Thanks

stretch · 28/02/2013 12:58

Ah, thanks Hazlenut. I must have really pointy-up nips then as mine wouldn't stay like that very long!
I see a lot of people with that 'boobs practically bursting free' look around here. I think it's The Fashion or something?
