I've been reading the recent bra threads and love it when people are shocked to discover they are actually a 32F and not a 40A.

So, if you have recently had a bra intervention by Sorrel, SC and others, can you answer the following please:

What size were you wearing?
Who fitted you? (Name and shame please)
What size are you now?

I feel terribly cheeky asking for your intervention but this might just be the best thing I've done online in years!

So... Under = 30.5 and Over = 43

Currently wear a 34DD which I have done for, er, ever despite 2 x sprogs and various weight gain/loss.

Am agog. Ta in advance Thanks

TheDoctrineOfSciAndNatureClub · 28/02/2013 08:51

32FF or 32G, I think.

Don't forget to scoop!

TheDoctrineOfSciAndNatureClub · 28/02/2013 08:51

(that was to Legs)

CelticPromise · 28/02/2013 08:59

cantilena try a 30J for starters!

LaVolcan · 28/02/2013 09:00

I am 33.5 underbust and 40 when leaning forward. I have been wearing 38B from M&S and they seem OKish, but don't give enough 'lift'. It depends on the bra too - one style gives a 4 boob look, the other not.

So what size should I be and where from? Or do I go back to M&S for a different size?

CelticPromise · 28/02/2013 09:00

Furball try 36GG.

CelticPromise · 28/02/2013 09:02

LaVolcan try 34E and F, maybe even 32FF or G.

cantilena · 28/02/2013 09:03

Crikey Celtic - Shock Will go a-hunting. Thank you!

Furball · 28/02/2013 09:06

celticpromise - thank you

and will do the scoop thang

StatisticallyChallenged · 28/02/2013 09:06

Oohshiney, you are actually about right but check your bra against the fit guidance

cricketfantoo · 28/02/2013 09:07

EMUZ and Hazlenutt - thanks for your advice, no wonder I'm not comfortable. I'll go shopping as soon as I can.

Are M&S bras just wrong generally or are they ok if I buy the right size i.e. as suggested by you rather than their sizing guide? Not much choice here otherwise.

Thanks

LaVolcan · 28/02/2013 09:07

Celtic: thanks - will give it a go, I need to get rid of some manky grey bras and get some new ones.

diddl sorry no, it does not work in the cm like that. You want to try 70 band size instead.

HazleNutt · 28/02/2013 09:10

cricket M&S bras are fine, if you get the right size. It's just their fitting advice that's wrong.

Geordieminx · 28/02/2013 09:10

So... Inspired by this thread I got the tape measure out..

35 under 44 over... Any clues?

Currently wear a 36 D but it doesn't feel right Confused

StatisticallyChallenged · 28/02/2013 09:12

Try a 34gg, 34g, 36ff, ,36g

Geordieminx · 28/02/2013 09:14

Me? G? Shock

Fiderer · 28/02/2013 09:14

I'd welcome help too please. Don't like underwire so atm wear M&S T-shirt bras in a 36A. Tight and first thing I take off when I come home.

35.5 under and 41 around.

StatisticallyChallenged · 28/02/2013 09:16

Fiderer try 34f, 34e, 36e, 36dd

BinarySolo · 28/02/2013 09:17

I'm 37 under and 49 round the bust.

Last bra I bought was a 38G which fits nicely. Was measured jus guessed based on my old bras then tried a couple on.

Been measured by mother care and m&s in the past. Unimpressed with both!

Fiderer · 28/02/2013 09:20

Blimey, Statistically - I'm small-breasted and it never occurred to me I'd be anything other than an A cup.

Thanks, have so many clothes I don't wear as often as I'd like because I need to wear a bra and can happily go without.

Odd to find out how dim I am about something which is part of everyday clothing. I wouldn't wear socks too small or tight Grin

Furball · 28/02/2013 09:22

36GG ordered - only £10 odd from Leia Smile

Can't wait!

Where can we get this information from normally? Is there a chart thing anywhere? I'm hoping to lose a bit of weight so measurements will probably change.

Furball · 28/02/2013 09:24

OooShiney - you are in the right size then!

SorrelForbes · 28/02/2013 09:30

BinarySolo When you scoop, do you get any overspill? Have you tried a 36J, 36HH, 38HH and a 38H?
