To ask how many of you have had a bra intervention by Sorrel, Statistically and others?

I've been reading the recent bra threads and love it when people are shocked to discover they are actually a 32F and not a 40A.

So, if you have recently had a bra intervention by Sorrel, SC and others, can you answer the following please:

What size were you wearing?
Who fitted you? (Name and shame please)
What size are you now?

OP posts:
SorrelForbes · 27/02/2013 23:04

To front

snice · 27/02/2013 23:05

I think I need an intervention-I have terrible dents in my shoulders

I measure 33 under pulled tight and 42 round outside (but I could have pulled a lot tighter)

Any advice?

DramaInPyjamas · 27/02/2013 23:07

If I post my measurements would someone please advise me on my bra size?
I am going (much dreaded) bra shopping at the weekend - I don't think I have ever worn a properly fitting bra.

36" under
48" bust

currently wearing a 40g

CandiedGinger · 27/02/2013 23:07

Thank you so much! Very excited, and even more so to be fitted by the original Sorrel!

StatisticallyChallenged · 27/02/2013 23:07

snice, start by trying a 32GG, 32G, 34FF, 34G.

StatisticallyChallenged · 27/02/2013 23:08

DramaInPyjamas, start with a 36HH. Make sure you read the fitting advice I posted around 4 o clock today as the cup is harder to get accurately by tape measure

snice · 27/02/2013 23:09

so not the 36D I'm wearing then? Grin

thank you for taking the time to help

CandiedGinger · 27/02/2013 23:10

And thanks, too, Statistically!

SorrelForbes · 27/02/2013 23:11

. Honestly, Statistically, HazelNutt, married et al all know more than me, especially about specific bras. I'm just very bossy an enthusiastic amateur.

MurderOfGoths · 27/02/2013 23:20

Quick question, earlier you posted
"The wires should be entirely encasing your breast tissue - breast tissue goes surprisingly far back and a lot of people don't realise this. If you feel where the wire is sitting under your arm then it should be sitting on a fairly firm surface"

Now I'm a bit on the chubby side and there's no firm surface till almost my back, surely the cups don't go around there?

louisianablue2000 · 27/02/2013 23:20

M&S always told me I was 36C, as did House of Fraser. Mothercare told me when I was pregnant with DD1 I was 40B! Finally went to a great independant that reduced my back size and increased the cup size and made my boobs look fantastic.

DramaInPyjamas · 27/02/2013 23:21

Thanks Stats
will report back

Maryz. Try a 34JJ, 34J, 36J too.

StatisticallyChallenged · 27/02/2013 23:29

As firm as it can be MurderOfGoths :) but it does actually go surprisingly far round. It's something that stuns most women when they first try a well fitting bra - just how wide the breast actually is.

for example, this bra is actually too small (which she acknowledges) but look at the 3rd picture for just how far round the wire is here

StarsAboveYou · 27/02/2013 23:29

I also need to go bra shopping as none of mine are anywhere near a good fit after 12 months of BF.

I used to be (although I now don't believe it!) a 34DD.

I'm 30.5, 39. My poor boobs never used to sag this much Blush

StatisticallyChallenged · 27/02/2013 23:30

Maryz, I think Brastop are doing free worldwide delivery just now and they sell those sizes

StatisticallyChallenged · 27/02/2013 23:31

StarsAboveYou, start with a 30G!

StarsAboveYou · 27/02/2013 23:35

Thanks, I'll try to report back once I have been shopping.

A G sounds exciting and a 30 sounds small. Maybe saggy isn't so bad after all! Grin

lol CelticPromise I am a 34C!

ErrorError · 27/02/2013 23:40

Don't have anything to measure myself here but considering getting it done properly soon. A bit sick of the shelf uni-boob bra!

StatisticallyChallenged · 27/02/2013 23:43

What dress size are you ErrorError?

TemporarilyOutOfOrder · 27/02/2013 23:55

Can you size me please? I meaaure 32 under bust and 43.5 around when bending over. I'm currently wearing a 32ff but constantly having to adjust them Confused
