To ask how many of you have had a bra intervention by Sorrel, Statistically and others?

I've been reading the recent bra threads and love it when people are shocked to discover they are actually a 32F and not a 40A.

So, if you have recently had a bra intervention by Sorrel, SC and others, can you answer the following please:

What size were you wearing?
Who fitted you? (Name and shame please)
What size are you now?

Merinda · 27/02/2013 22:29

Dear god. I have been wearing the wrong size all my life then?
I am 30.5 and 34.
What size would that make me (afraid to guess the answer)?

SorrelForbes · 27/02/2013 22:30

RayofSun Try a 32F, 32FF, a 30G and a 30FF

AnyFucker · 27/02/2013 22:30

ray start with a 32F

StatisticallyChallenged · 27/02/2013 22:30

rayofsun try a 30G, 30FF, 32F, 32FF for starters.
Merinda start with a 30D

AnyFucker · 27/02/2013 22:31

merinda...start with a 30D

that is a lovely, neat size...get away with ya !

Merinda · 27/02/2013 22:32

Thank you, this is shocking. I am currently in a "carefully fitted" 34 B. And that is a post-pregnancy improvement from 32 A...

AnyFucker · 27/02/2013 22:32

there is an echo, echo, echo....in here Smile

CelticPromise · 27/02/2013 22:34

Error the cup size means nothing without the band size! Post your measurements and let us fit you, go on...

moz88 · 27/02/2013 22:34

Can you help me too please?

Under 41 and middle is 49

Thanks

StatisticallyChallenged · 27/02/2013 22:36

At least it's an accurate one eh AnyFucker!

Moz88 start at a 40G for starters, but read the info upthread about squishy torsos!

CelticPromise · 27/02/2013 22:37

opener you could try M&S (but don't go near the fitters!) or Debenhams. T'internet is definitely your friend, especially for bargains.

MurderOfGoths · 27/02/2013 22:41

Alright I'm off to Debenhams tomorrow, shall report back to let you all know.

This has been a wonderfully informative thread. Thank you everyone!

itsthequietones · 27/02/2013 22:43

Hi, I'm 33 and 42.5, but they'll squish together more if you know what I mean! I've been wearing a 36D/DD for ages now, they're not that comfy, could anyone help?

CelticPromise · 27/02/2013 22:45

Start with a 32H quietones

Urbanvoltaire · 27/02/2013 22:47

Was wearing 36B

Went to Rigby & Pellar

Now 32DD

Felt like a new woman Grin

itsthequietones · 27/02/2013 22:48

Shock Thank you Celtic, looking forward to shopping this weekend Grin

RayofSun · 27/02/2013 22:52

Many thanks ladies! Overwhelmed with the response! Off to debenhams I go.

spicelette · 27/02/2013 22:54

Hi there, I measure 29 under bust and 35 over. I'm currently breastfeeding and prefer a moulded or lightly padded cup as it stops the glamorous breast pads showing through.

I've been wearing a midnight grace 'ava' bra in a 32dd (smallest back size they do it in on figleaves). But I've recently lost a bit of weight and it's definitely too big in the back now.

I'm guessing I'll need to try 28 in the back: can you get similar nursing bras in these small back sizes? what cup size should I try?

CandiedGinger · 27/02/2013 22:55

I know it's late... but may I join in? 31 under (though pulled it quite tight), and 38.5 around. Nice lady in shop changed me from 34B to 32C about a year ago, which was much better, but have still slight doubts if I shouldn't take it further. Reading the thread makes me suspect I should. What do you think? Thank you!

29 underneath
33 round boobs

but I tried on some bras today, and even 32 bands were too tight and I had bits of fat exploding from the top of the band.

very confused Confused

SorrelForbes · 27/02/2013 23:01

Maryz. It's roughly an inch per cup size (don't forget the DD, FF, GG etc.). So one inch difference between measurements would be an A and so on.

candied. Try a 30G, 30FF, 32FF and a 32F. I suspect the 30 back will be a better fit in most brands.

spice. Try a 28F, 28E, 30E and 30DD.

StatisticallyChallenged · 27/02/2013 23:03

spicelette try a 28F as a start point
candiedginger try a 30FF/30G/32F ish

Post em up Maryz! We've had a MM so far I think which is a 20" difference

StatisticallyChallenged · 27/02/2013 23:04

BDBFan, what CUP size did you try on the 32?

SorrelForbes · 27/02/2013 23:04

bdbfan. Try a 28D, 28DD, 30D and a 30C. Bulges are usually caused by too small a cup and too big a band. Because you tried bras with too small a cup the band was having to take up the slack. Try a 28 and a 30 on back to from to see how they fit before putting them on the right way round and sorting the cups.
