when you became a mother for the first time/when you had your other children if you've got more than one?
More of an 'I know I am being nosy'!
Am 31,married to a lovely man and becoming keen but feel scared still, which I hope is normal, but time is ticking!
Please share your experiences (ages/fears)!
Thanks :)

I agree with other posters that you never know what is around the corner so if you are ready, have the chat and if your H is ready too, go for it!

Having said that, I'd also do a few things first - have some spectacular holidays (although you can still have lovely holidays with children, its not the same as when you are just a couple), enjoy one another and cement your relationship. There is no bigger test of a marriage than having children Wink. I'd also save if you can - so you can take a long maternity leave, get everything in place before you have a baby because when you account for lost earnings, childcare etc, babies are expensive!

DD1 & DS - I was 33 (took 10 months to conceive)
DD2 - I was 37 (took 18 months to conceive)

D- 23

Wanted number 2, got married to DH, started TTC at 25, I'm now 30 and still TTC with 9 MCs under my belt and a blood clotting disorder diagnosis...

Get started if you want children as the road is not always smooth...

peaceandlovebunny · 03/01/2013 09:17
  1. i only have the one baby. she's 30. in those days, we had to carry a card about our pregnancy, wherever we went. mine said 'A+' at the top, which was affirming but was really only my blood group, and under that positive message it had the words 'elderly primagravida'.

take note, you ladies just beginning to think about a family at the age of 38. elderly at 24.
