when you became a mother for the first time/when you had your other children if you've got more than one?
More of an 'I know I am being nosy'!
Am 31,married to a lovely man and becoming keen but feel scared still, which I hope is normal, but time is ticking!
Please share your experiences (ages/fears)!
Thanks :)

DS - I was 33 and a half (very important, the half )
DD - I was 36

I met DH when we were 19. We married at 28.
I was terrified of giving birth, but the old Biological Clock started when I was 31. I didn't wake up one day and think "I want one". It was more "It wouldn't be too bad"
And as the boffins hadn't come up with any better way of having them...

Wasn't too bad. I had a second one Wink

How are you folks managing to keep your children in the dark about your real ages???

My DD regularly informs me that I am 32... and that she will be sad when I die because I am old.

Oh and when she has a child I will be a granny... and when she's a mum she's not going to do "normal mum stuff" she plans to "just sit around and my child's can hoover"

She's the most delightful little weirdo I know, but I wish she thought I was 25 Sad

DD1 - 33. Currently working on TTC no 2. I'm now 36 and if it doesn't happen, we're seriously considering adoption, rather than IVF or anything. I've always wanted to adopt. I'm not very good at pregnancy/birth....

Ahhh. DD is convinced I am 23. Possibly the ropiest 23 year old you've ever seen, but she's too young to argue! :)

I was 23 for DS1, 18 months of trying!
I was 24 for DD, started trying a month after DS1 was born, theres only a 14 month gap so didnt take long. Did the same when DD was born.
I was 28 for DS2.. 3 and a half year gap - feels huge!

I really want one more, DS2 is 6 months now, but I refuse to have anymore after 30, thats my cut off point, so I have the next few months to concieve or I'm sticking with 3.

Dd:- 23
Ds1:- 25
ds2:- 28

Good age gaps. They all pretty much look after each other, play well and help each other with reading etc. I would maybe like another, but worry age gap too much and I am 32 now so higher risks... Not just material age, but paternal age to consider too.
