...on the bedroom floor!

He went out for work drinks last night, came home in a great mood at 10pm and held a full blown conversation with me so I was under the impression he was sober!

Roll on 45 minutes later we are in bed and he is snoring like you wouldn't believe, it takes me literally slapping his face to wake him to get him to sleep on is side. Normality resumes and I drift of to sleep.

2 hours later I find him standing in the corner of the room where all my electrical items are having a merry piss that would make a camel proud! I shouted at him to stop and a few obscenities to which he told me to shhh it was hands free??

AIBU to make him get a carpet cleaner in to disinfect my lovely fluffy cream carpet!

Maybe I've lost my sense of humour, but I've always found it hard to respect people who get completely wasted and vomit/ piss/ pass out. It is possible to enjoy a night out, have a few drinks and a giggle and not get paralytic. Getting to that stage is juvenile in my book.

Maybe I learnt my lesson when younger? I only did it once, where I became so ill, I vomited and cannot remember half the night. I felt so ill the following day, I've never done it again. I pace myself now.

However some people do this often and think it constitutes a good night. I just find that such an odd way to think and yes childish.

Yep I really do have no sense of humour do I?

Obviously if they're not that drunk but are prone to sleep walking etc. I can see why they may pee where they shouldn't I guess. But I do think it's a bit gross. I've never dated someone who's done it thankfully. I wouldn't want to clean it up. My own kids yes, a grown up. No way. This thread is rather eye opening tbh.

Vomit is definitely worse imo though.

Crawling · 19/12/2012 13:45

Just to say I won't clean up after DP and would find it upsetting to hear shut happens. but I would find dp embarrassment at seeing somewhere amusing ( if he was embarrassed and cleaned it himself). All I was protesting against was the if dp pee anywhere other than toilet divorce is on the cards even if he is sorry that imo is too far.

Crawling · 19/12/2012 13:46

sorry stupid phone peeing not seeing and shit not shut

WhatEverItIsIDidntDoIt · 19/12/2012 14:04

He tried to do this last week again he was hideously drunk but luckily I woke up in time to take him to the toilet!

Just spoke to him and apparently he feels absolutely fine, no hangover at all?? How could he gave been drunk enough to empty his bladder on my lovely carpet but not be hungover?

He's response to me telling him way he did was "shit happens"

For his sake it better bloody not!

Unless my dp ill or incontinent i never expect to have to take him to the toilet.

He sounds charming.

WhatEverItIsIDidntDoIt · 19/12/2012 14:07

I've made him sound like a monster, he really isn't!

His shit happens was a joke comment as if to say thank god I didn't shit on the carpet! Grin

He has informed me that the carpet has been visited by our friends rug doctor so no harm done I guess?!

Happened with an ex of mine too, we were both living at my parents back from uni one summer. He'd been out, got in about midnight, had chat really didn't seem that drunk. At this time my Dad used to work shifts and so was often up around 430. Anyway, woke up about 5am to find ex weeing up my drawers! Went mad, but also couldn't be that loud so didn't alert my dad! It was like he just wasn't 'there'? Ex then decided (he was also stark naked) that he wanted to continue weeing but outside of my room, managed to stop him and keep him in my room till my Dad had gone to work. Took him to the bathroom, shoved him in, then looked in 10secinds later and he was pissing in the bloody sink!!!! Couldn't even sleep on sofa as was worried he'd be off roaming again! He woke up in the morning saying 'I know I've done something really bad, but I can't put my finger on what'', grr!!!!!

I was livid at the time, but I can see the funny side now! He really wasn't that drunk though and had never done it before do I'm not sure what went wrong?!

woopdiedoo · 19/12/2012 14:44

When DP and I had only been dating a while he badly broke his leg and had pins and things put in. He came to stay the night at my house where my room was downstairs and the bathroom up 2 flights of stairs.

He woke me in the early hours to say he needed a pee. I told him there was a receptacle in the corner (it was always there in case I was ill and needed to be sick). At the same time I went upstairs for a drink.

When I came back down he was in bed asleep but I could feel something wet on the floor. I was absolutely livid with him! Until the next morning when I noticed a candle that had a 'burned out' well full of water. It took a few moments for the penny to drop - he obviously couldn't see the 'potty' I had pointed out so used the candle. I have no idea what made him think a tiny little well in a candle could hold an adult bladder's worth of piss!

The thought of him searching round in desperation and settling on this as a good idea I found quite funny Grin.

TapirAroundTheChristmasTree · 19/12/2012 14:51

My dh used to do this. He is legendary among our friends for the damn stupid places that he's urinated whilst blootered.

Wardrobes, out of windows, the catflap, into the oven, the cot, down the stairs, off a balcony, into a safe containing money and passports (on holiday), onto electrical socket (electrocuted himself) and everywhere else.

There was one memorable (!?!) time where he came home totally arsefaced, fell asleep ON the kitchen counter, pissed on the floor during the night, then rolled off the counter and into the piss. Didn't wake up.

YANBU about him pissing anywhere but the toilet.

TapirAroundTheChristmasTree · 19/12/2012 15:17

Ooops - killed the thread!

valiumredhead · 19/12/2012 15:24

so valium - out of curiosity - is it not the wee part but the drunken lack of control which would bother you most?

Yep, exactly. Thank God dh isn't a drinker if this is the 'norm.'

Spuddybean · 19/12/2012 15:29

that makes sense then. it's the 'norm' for some and not others i think. i love to get spectacularly drunk but have never been sick, weed anywhere or passed out. but i know other people who drink much less than me who do these things regularly.

valiumredhead · 19/12/2012 15:31

Oh definitely not the bodily fluids - I can more than cope with that Grin

puds11isNAUGHTYnotNAICE · 19/12/2012 15:36

I do not have an aversion to wee. I have an aversion to disgusting drunks who cannot control themselves.

valiumredhead · 19/12/2012 15:40

Quite puds

reTardis · 19/12/2012 15:43

wot does yanbu and dh mean sorry im new lol

ErikNorseman · 19/12/2012 15:50

ReTardis? Your nickname appears to be a pun on a very offensive word. You would be advised to change it.

dreamingbohemian · 19/12/2012 16:03

Tapir, that is all sorts of crazy. Electrocuted himself!

I note you say 'used to', so he stopped then?

Roger67 · 19/12/2012 16:08

ErikNorseman it wasn't a pun it was my initials n tardis cos i iz a dr who fan. ive changed it now cos i don't want to cause offence to anyonne.

ErikNorseman · 19/12/2012 16:14

Well done. Good to know it wasn't done on purpose :)

Roger67 · 19/12/2012 16:21

MsElleTow · 19/12/2012 16:30

There's so many of these threads around ATM.

I am so glad DH is not a drinker and only Pees in the toilet. If he started pee'ing in our bedroom, or anywhere else, he'd get something thrown at him and I really wouldn't find it funny!

InLoveWithDavidTennant · 19/12/2012 16:40

im so glad my dh doesnt drink Grin

judefawley · 19/12/2012 16:56

If my dh was liable to piss when drunk, I would hope he would not ever get that pissed again.

It's absolutely pathetic imo.
