hi, pls can any1 help with this problem? i placed an order with sportsdirect online, my parcel was left and signed for by a neighbor who refuses to acknowledge she has my parcel and wont speak to me! contacted sportsdirect (who dont advertise any contact numbers for customers, now i know why!) who basicaly said its not their problem that the neighbor wont return it? The courier firm (Yodel) that delivered the parcel have refered me back to sportsdirect so they wont take responsibility either! Do i just accept that Ive lost out or is there anything i could do about this???? :(

Oh cheeky mare! You will have to state everytime you get a parcel delivered it is not to be left with her!

marquesas · 23/12/2012 20:31

Glad you've got your parcel back, as a matter of interest why didn't you go to the police on day 1 and report it. You'd have got the parcel back straight away I'd have thought rather than faff about with the couriers.

VBisme · 23/12/2012 20:45

Nasty cow. I hope she's embarrassed by her behaviour, but somehow I doubt it Angry

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 23/12/2012 21:01

I would still go to the puce now with what you know. Shock At her cheek?!

HollaAtMeSanta · 23/12/2012 21:25

Love it when people come back to update - thank you! and hooray for getting your parcel back Xmas Smile

oldraver · 23/12/2012 21:40

What a cow..... I would be tempted to warn neighbours to make sure parcels are not signed for by anyone but themselves

I was expecting a delivery form Yodel and they delivered to a 'neighbour' but in the next street....The lovely woman realised it was for no x but in my street and bought it round

ShiftyFades · 23/12/2012 21:41

Glad you got your parcel but Angry at your neighbour.
I'm quite shocked by that Sad

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 23/12/2012 22:08

Puce? Police!

JrGooNer · 24/05/2017 12:03

What?? Please tell me this didn't end here lol I HAVE TO KNOW what happened! This will keep eating at me until I know that the neighbour was arrested or at least gave the parcel back lol please update us!

RhiWrites · 24/05/2017 12:08

JR, read the thread. She updated a few posts up.

You've just revived a 5 year dead ZOMBIE to ask a question that was answered. Mumsnetters hate that!

MineralWater · 24/05/2017 12:16

JRGooNer Grin

I'm actually laughing out loud at you resurrecting this thread

LagunaBubbles · 24/05/2017 12:23

JR, what on earth were you searching for you came up with this? Grin

Oldraver · 24/05/2017 12:37

I just opened this thread thinking.....oh this sounds familiar...

LadyGlitterSparklesSeriously · 24/05/2017 12:42
Shock

That dirty, rotten THIEF.

LadyGlitterSparklesSeriously · 24/05/2017 12:42

Oh. Zombie thread ¬_¬

Notso · 24/05/2017 12:43

Arrrgh! I can't believe I didn't notice this was a zombie, I RTFT as well, if only JRGooNer had too!

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 24/05/2017 12:48

If people are desperate for updates on ZOMBIE threads, why can't they just pm the OP? Even if they have name-changed, it will still get there, assuming they are still on MN.

MoonfaceAndSilky · 24/05/2017 12:58

I wouldn't mind but the OP DID update FIVE years ago!!! Grin

Willow2017 · 24/05/2017 12:58

OH FFS NOT ANOTHER ONE

Why? It was resolved 5 fucking years ago. Why ask the question?

Wormulonian · 24/05/2017 13:18

Get back to SportsDirect - they should follow it up with Yodel etc. I had this with an M&S parcel (lots of school clothes and mens trousers, a few hundred quids worth). M&S refunded me - don't know if they followed the parcel up.

If no joy contact your local Trading Standards office - they should be able to tell you what laws you are protected by. You may also be able to pursue a refund through your credit card if you paid that way.

Justmadeperfectflapjacks · 24/05/2017 13:22

I would have flyers printed and post through all the doors warning about the neighbourhood thief!!

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 24/05/2017 13:22

ZOMBIE THREAD

Let it rest in peace!

ineedwine99 · 24/05/2017 13:51

Hi OP, have you tried using facebook or twitter to contact sports direct, make them deal with you via the main public facing page as they won't like any negative publicity

ineedwine99 · 24/05/2017 13:51

Sorry just noticed zombie

nannybeach · 24/05/2017 13:53

You need to make 100% sure she really does have your parcel, a couple of years back my DS ordered a mobile phone, contacting the company when it didnt arrived (I wont name the courier one of the big ones who a lot of people have problems with) he checked with the seller, then the courier. Who said it had been delivered and signed for by DS who had actually waited in all day for it. After weeks of wrangling with company and courier, he threatened them with county court, asked for a copy of his signature, when supplied said as it wasnt his, he WAS aking them to court, then they turned round and said the courier driver had "accidentally" signed for it, yeah and kept it obviously. My DD also had problems with sports direct a couple of months back, 2 pairs of shoes for each of the kids, usuall runaround with sportsdirect and courier, who said they put it "under the bush in her garden", except she doesnt have one. Then one day she saw a little boy of around 8-10, put it on her doorstep, it wasnt anyone she reconised as living anywhere near her, or going to the kids school.
