I think I am usual.

I'm 50 today. Funnily enough I don't mind being 50. I didn't mind being 40 either.

My mum says 80 is the difficult one, because you might not make 90 and if your body does your brain won't and vice versa.

Fwiw, I felt very old when I hit 50, but once I'd got past that milestone, age began to matter less. I'm now 56 and still feel the same age as I did 6 years ago (but then I've been on Mumsnet ever since 2006, so maybe time has stood still....)
