For his disablist comments? I would like to anyone who shares my anger to post. His a ridiculous person and a crap comedian. I'm sure I must have missed a thread about him already... But can't find one...

I went to see him a few years back. Never again i cant quite see the humour in his friend's cancer, disabled children and wounded soldiers. Prick.

Had a trawl through his twitter can't see any references to disabled people. There's stuff about the paralympics not sure if that's what u are refering to.

Google 'Frankie Boyle offensive' and you get pages of them, Toucan.

So you think he's offensive? So what. Many people find lefty comedians like Marcus Brigstocke offensive. Should they be banned from TV and Twitter?

so what?
do you think racism is funny?
do you think disablism is funny?

We think he's offensive and we are saying so, he's found one source of base humour that some individuals find amusing and keeps mining it, with added filthy language because he is incapable of wit or subtlety.
Just right for those that miss Freddy Starr and Bernard Manning.

GreenD
I find him offensive, and worse than that, he encourages thickos to be just as offensive - but they are then nasty to RL disabled people.

FB goes on TV and makes a joke about theoretical disabled people.

His fans go out onto the streets and tell similar jokes about REAL people, or abuse them in the streets using the same jokes and punchlines that FB uses.

It is not about him, but about the signals that he sends out to the thickos people who watch his shows and carry this 'humour' into society.

There has been an increase in violence against disabled people in the past couple of years, and divisive and offensive comedy needs to be assessed in order to ascertain if it has played a part in this rise.

Comedy doesn't need to be policed.

I don't mind people objecting to Boyle but to say he should be banned is ridiculous.

You say comedy, we say disablist hate speak, so difficult to tell the difference.

Sorry, I find him very funny!

What I can't stand though is people who go to see him, laugh at his mocking of group A, B and C but then get all self-righteous when he mocks their special interest group.

This, this annoys me more than anything Frankie Boyle comes out with.

I refuse to jump on the bandwagon to go see what he's said now, because that is exactly the reason he's saying it.

Its business. He, and whoever he is hired by, know that people will be offended, they know you will tune in to see it, they know that you will come onto websites like this to express your anger, lots more people will wonder what he's said and look, and then tune in next time to see if he says anything else worthy of a debate/rant, and so it continues - You are giving him free advertising.

His jokes may be offensive, but he is acting within the law, so at present the best thing you can do is ignore him. That's the only way he will go away really, if everyone stops playing in to the system I outlined above.

I find him funny if you think he's not don't watch him then you won't get angry lol.
I know he's offensive but so is jimmy Carr and other comedians the idea is if your easily offended don't watch them.

He is a vile untalented individual. I am glad that c4 are not renewing his contract considering they are sponsoring the paralympics

But rebbeca adlington does look like a dolphin. If she is upset by his comments she can complain, why are people getting offended on her behalf? To me those two paralympic jokes are a dig at scots and the government.

I have never heard of him until he appeared in the media insulting Katie prices son, then I just cannot bring myself to watch him, even more so the shit he came out with concerning the Paralympic athletes

He's a nasty cunt.

I don't believe in banning people. And he performs a useful function..
"I really like Frankie Boyle" = probably a cunt

toucancancan · 09/09/2012 08:40

I saw a comedian recently who told some jokes which were so offensive they made Frankie Boyle seem benign.

He got totally raving 5 star reviews across the board (Edinburgh Festival) and I did not see one reviewer say that there are some things you just should NOT say, it was all about how daring he was and pushed the boundaries etc.

I did contact him and say some things were really beyond the pale and got the response:

'There just jokes'..

I despair, on many levels

I haven't seen his disabled lines so can't comment on them. But I've seen his lines about rape. Any jokes about rape are totally unacceptable, but I ignore them and enjoy his stuff that does make me laugh. Out loud. Usually several times a day.

In a nutshell what Pagwatch said.

I tend to feel that those who say they don't see it ( it being the vile pus that is Frankie Boyle and his material and it's contribution to the behaviour of some/ many in the widespread community) just don't want to see it because it's, well, spoiling their fun. Hmm
