For his disablist comments? I would like to anyone who shares my anger to post. His a ridiculous person and a crap comedian. I'm sure I must have missed a thread about him already... But can't find one...

Well, ok, if my comments are irrelevant to the discussion, ignore them. Everyone interprets differently, and thats how I interpreted some. I don't see it as a straw man at all since it was an honest and personal evaluation as opposed to attempt to distract or distort.
Not a problem if you see it differently, is it? Smile

No Smile

It is just diverting to post 'he is a cunt' and have 'but you killjoys just want to ban stuff' by way of response.

I am going to try and get Peter Andre banned now though.

No certainly no banning. He seems to be killing his career quite nicely all on his very own.

Banning people would be pretty brilliant though. I'd like to ban Richard madeley please.

I don't think you're being fair there. I neither said nor implied that anyone was a killjoy (indeed as I agreed on the he's a cunt part, what "joy" could I accuse anyone of killing?)
I merely gave my opinion based on what I saw in what I read. I think its more diverting of you to seize on my post and make a big deal of it, but thats your prerogative.

I'm surprised you don't see the irony in repeatedly saying nobody wants to ban or censor yet your next line is "Why is it not that societal pressure should mean people like him don't get airspace?".
Surely if he is offensive to the majority then it will naturally fade, what societal pressure is necessary? And what is the difference between pressure to remove his airspace and censoring? It's the same ballpark at least.

I am not trying to be fair. I am posting my opinion.

You seem to be reacting to everything I post as if I am referencing your comments when I am not.

The 'you lot can't ban him/professionally offended/killjoy thing is on here all the time.

And there is no irony in what I posted. And no 'societal pressure' is not the same as banning. That makes no sense.
There is no ban on using 'paki' but most people don't use it because society will generally view them as a massive twat.

Ok, my mistake, I thought you had aimed a couple of posts at me. Glad to be wrong.

He's an alcoholic & self destructive. Sometimes I found him fantastically funny on MTW, even my mum in her 70s did. Sometmes not. I actually laughed at the first Rebecca Adlington joke on MTW, as a "shooting a sacred cow" remark rather than a personal thing about her, but since then he has been rather personal and offensive about her and several others, just mean and not funny.

But then there are plenty of others who, ok are not as offensive but who are professional arseholes/annoying fuckwits with inexplicably incredible careers (to me). Chris Moyles, Jonathan Ross, Piers Morgan, Jeremy Clarkson to name but a few.
