To set up a thread so that someone will --hopefully-- come and talk to me??

Am I? Or should I find something else to do? I am sat at work and there isn't anything to do...the day is long and boring so far, and my supervisor is pissing me off no end and am trying not to blow my top at her. My 3 DC are away at their dads until sunday and i am missing them dreadfully and thought i'd love the quiet....but I just want them back!

If anyone fancies talking and helping my day along..... :)

I'll talk to you. But only for 20 minutes. Then I have to leave for a doctor's appointment!

Would you like my 3 year old for a day or two? Grin

GotMyLittleLamb · 29/08/2012 12:42

I'll have a natter, I was waiting in for the paediatric outreach nurse who has now rung to say she isnt coming til 3.30pm :( I have made rather gorgeous cupcakes this morning though :) DD is asleep.

Sooo....whats going on? Anyone fancy a cupcake?

Lovemy3kids · 29/08/2012 12:42

Hello. I'm here too.
Have teething six month old and terrible two-ing two year old.

Jealous of your peace and quiet.

Tee2072 · 29/08/2012 12:43

I'll take a cupcake...would you like an M&S sultana cookie in return?

Lovemy3kids · 29/08/2012 12:43

I'd love a cupcake GotMy....what kind are they? How old is your DD? mine are 14, 10 and 7 :)

KD0706 · 29/08/2012 12:44

Ooh gotmylittlelamb how are you and dd?

You won't remember me but I was on your thread when she was in hospital

KD0706 · 29/08/2012 12:44

Now I'm jealous. I'm on a kind of diet so will pass on the cupcake etc.

Well ok maybe just a little bite!!

Lovemy3kids · 29/08/2012 12:45

KD0706....I thought i'd love the peace and quiet....and I know so many other people would love it too....but i am just hating it Sad. I haven't been away from them for this long since they've been born!

I would love a cupcake and a M&S sultana cookie....but I have nothing to offer in return as I ate my cornish pastie (breakfast/lunch) earlier this morning

KD0706 · 29/08/2012 12:46

I know, lovemy I actually feel a bit anxious when I'm away from min for more than a few hours. In principal the peace is nice but in practice perhaps not so

CarpeJugulum · 29/08/2012 12:46

I've got a 22mo DS who is sick with a cold and a raised temperature and only wants to sit on me and watch CBeebies - so I'm trying not to watch before my brain implodes!

What shall we chat about? Cupcakes we have eaten and loved?! Wink Grin

Lovemy3kids · 29/08/2012 12:50

i know they are with their dad and all that.....and there is no arguing or mess anywhere.....but........well....I miss them terribly!

Cupcakes....haven't tasted any nice ones for a very long time....not really a cakey person but if I do have a cake its either a chelsea bun or a lardy cake (dripping cake).......mmmmm :)

Lovemy3kids · 29/08/2012 12:51

Hope your DS gets better soon Carpe....I remember those days well Grin

My son is currently at day care. I have to say, I do enjoy the quiet. But I also know he'll be home by 430!

KD0706 · 29/08/2012 12:52

I'm starving here reading this thread. DH is supposed to be bringing me a subway baguette for my lunch but he's not here yet.

And I'm trying to resist snacking due to said aforementioned diet. Which basically involves eating slightly less cr*p and doing slightly more exercise. It's working - basically because previously I was virtually bathing in chocolate and sitting on the sofa most of the day

Lovemy3kids · 29/08/2012 12:58

Mmmmm I love Subway.....which one are you having KD?

Hi, my DS is asleep upstairs and DD is playing games on the phone. I have a few mins until he wakes up and DD starts whining about something. It's raining here, so no chance of doing anything fun today.

BarredfromhavingStella · 29/08/2012 12:59

I have a 3 year old & a 10 month old & am currently sat rocking in a corner so am V jealous of your peace & quiet..... & yes a cupcake would be nice Grin

KD0706 · 29/08/2012 13:01

RikersBeard · 29/08/2012 13:02

Hello. My DS1 is at nursery and DS2 is currently covered in creamy pasta shells (7 months). I have made a big pan of soup this morning for freezer portions.

Pouring with rain, so my planned walk isn't going to happen. Guess its me, DS2 and MN for the afternoon :o

KD0706 · 29/08/2012 13:03

Raining here too namechange
It was a glorious day yesterday and I was all hopeful that we would get a few days in a row. But no.

We did soft play this morning and are going to a friends house this afternoon.

Lovemy3kids · 29/08/2012 13:04

Its raining here too......but being stuck in work it doesn't make any odds to me what the weather is like.....unfortunately!!

Why do we always get such crap weather here in the UK (and of course other parts of the world).....me and the DC recently rturned from our 1st holiday aborad and the weather was gorgeous.....DD wants to move over there....oh if only!! :)

Tee2072 · 29/08/2012 13:05

Raining here too. I'm currently standing in it waiting for the bus.

CarpeJugulum · 29/08/2012 13:06

Oooh! He's perked up and demanded a Dangermouse DVD. Hoping he watches an episode, then more calpol and a nap...

Subway sounds lovely... I had to make do with Phili on toast so DS would maybe eat some Hmm

RuleBritannia · 29/08/2012 13:07

Save me a cupcake, please.
