To think that Ian Brady...

KittyFane1 · 17/08/2012 20:29

is playing a sick game.
His final victim is Winnie Johnson who is desperate to find her son Keith Bennet on the moors. She has terminal cancer and not long to live.
IB has been on hunger strike for years and wants to move out of the psychiatric hospital.
There is now, or rather, may or may not be a letter revealing where Keith is. Tormenting this woman in her final days.

Would it be unreasonable to tell IB that he can be moved if he stops this sick game, refusing to say where Keith is buried and if he does, not give him what he wants after all?

Didn't Hindley try but because of the way the moors have changed she was unsuccessful? I also thought Pauline Reade's discovery was purely down to Hindley.

I thought Brady had never given anything away?

AgentZigzag · 17/08/2012 20:51

Am I right in thinking he's been force fed for five years? Can't remember where I read it, but it surprised me it'd been so long.

ratbagcatbag · 17/08/2012 20:52

So so sad, I think death is too good for the bastard, and he should be fed every day and given no pain relief no matter what agony he is suffering.

I agree that the poor woman has suffered enough and you can see in everything she has said and done she has never been able to move on (not that you could bykwim).

Grrrrrrrrr

JumpingThroughHoops · 17/08/2012 20:52

Five years, its much longer than that. Since 1999, thats when he went to court to revoke the feeding to be allowed to die

MsNobodyAgain · 17/08/2012 20:52

It's a local area to me. As far as I know, IBs former health worker was given a letter by him to give to Winnie when he died. It was mentioned when she was filmed in a documentary about him.

I wouldn't be surprised if the letter turned out to be his last sick revenge.

The letter hasn't been found. The worker said she returned it to him recently and it hasn't been discovered despite extensive searches (or so the media say)...

KittyFane1 · 17/08/2012 20:53

chuff:And I bet the letter will say something like "I won". Utter fucking cunt he is.

I have no words to describe Brady and cannot even bear to think about him. However I cannot understand the motives of the legal advocate, surely she is a puppet in his game. Why would you be part of a documentary that would be aired on national tv unless you were playing your own little power trip, completely under Brady's spell or to taunt Keith's mother yourself.

How does she sleep at night?

MsNobodyAgain · 17/08/2012 20:54

Chuffmuffin I wanted to post the same thing as you, but wasn't as brave.

Growlithe · 17/08/2012 20:54

Everyone's beliefs are different, but if there is an afterlife then there is a certainty about this issue. Keith Bennett will met his mum again one day. But he will never ever meet Brady again, because his future lies elsewhere.

AgentZigzag · 17/08/2012 20:55

It's must have changed the whole family ratbag, even the generations coming along after it had happened.

I really hope he has the information to give up and does it while Keiths mum can know what it means to find and bury her lost son.

KittyFane1 · 17/08/2012 20:55

MsNobody if that's true then this former social worker is an utter idiot. Give it back to him?! What?!

SeashellsAllezModInYellowAllez · 17/08/2012 20:55

On the news they said his victim's mother hasn't been told. She is in a hospice and too frail for any false hope. :( :(

I agree, the whole thing stinks of his continuing sadistic and attention seeking desire. Poor poor woman :(

ChuffMuffin · 17/08/2012 20:57

I really don't think there is a word strong enough to describe him. He killed Keith Bennett and utterly destroyed his family's life by playing fucking sick games.

ratspeaker · 17/08/2012 20:57

jumping he didn't give the letter to a solicitor, that would have been privelged information, ie wouldn't be for general knowledge without his consent
He gave a letter to his mental health advocate, they are not always solicitors, some are mental health nurses, some social workers.
Anyway his mental health advocate told a documentary maker about the existence of letters to be passed on.

I sense cynical manipulation at work there.

As I remember the Moors murderers didn't admit to killing the poor wee lad until over 20 years later, when they got to wander the moors to look for Keith and Pauline.
That must have been some thrill for Brady
and he's still getting his jollies now

Birdsgottafly · 17/08/2012 20:57

She is his Mental Health advocate and has obviously chosen to work at Ashworth, it isn't something that you can fully understand unless you work or are involved in the field, tbh.

She is fulfilling her role, by featuring in the documentary.

He has been force fed for 12 years.

PropertyNightmare · 17/08/2012 20:57

It said on the news earlier that Keith's mother's solicitor had confirmed that she has not been informed of the possibility of a letter as she is very ill and until such time as a letter is shown to exist it will not be mentioned to her. Good call I think. Stops Brady exploiting her for his pleasure.

Gumby · 17/08/2012 20:58

After 50 years I doubt he knows where he buried him Sad & as the experts say the moors have changed too much

KittyFane1 · 17/08/2012 20:58

Seashells I hope to God that's true. So so sad.

stressheaderic · 17/08/2012 20:58

46 years in prison have done nothing to alter the thinking of this vile, vile man. He continues to be the sadist he was when free.
I'd consider him the UK's worst ever criminal. I hope he rots away slowly and painfully.

GhostShip · 17/08/2012 21:00

Is everyone who commits evil crimes mentally ill? That's what people make it out like...

calamityalice · 17/08/2012 21:02

The moors will have changed so much I doubt they'll find Keith's body and I hate the thought of Brady enjoying all this still.

JumpingThroughHoops · 17/08/2012 21:02

Beg pardon - advocate = solicitor in my lingo.

mellowcat · 17/08/2012 21:03

Birdsgottafly - In what way is the advocate fulfilling her role by appearing in the documentary - genuine question, I just don't understand.

KittyFane1 · 17/08/2012 21:03

Ghost Not all but many. Brady is a full on psychopath.
It is also possible to have short term psychosis.

thegreylady · 17/08/2012 21:04

I agree with stresshead.
There is no disagreement possible-there are no words bad enough to describe him.I have never been able to hear The Little Drummer Boy without remembering the torture and murder of Lesley Anne Downey.
