Anyway I don't see a problem with band t-shirts, but I cannot abide anything rude or innapropriate like the 'daddy only wanted a blow job' type, those are vile IMO. I also don't like the tame ones like "mummy is always right" or "that's it! I'm off to grandmas" and all that stuff, it's just tacky.

Generally I don't have any really strong music preferences right now so wouldn't have really considered the t-shirts for my own DCs. If I'd had my DCs a little younger though perhaps they'd be in REM tops :o but now I'd rather have some Beethoven...

I do like DCs looking a bit quirky though. I've always dressed mine (5 and 2) very high street (ie cheap!) and they have far too many lots of clothes but recently my eldest got some hand me downs from my gothy friend and she looks so awesome in them. I have neither the time or the money to seek out specific clothes but I am going to be more selective now so they don't have as much but what I get will be from charity shops instead (I got some amazing stuff when I was volunteering). If I happen to see any band or retro type clothes then I wouldn't say no, if it was something I liked. May as well while they are young enough :o

"I wuv my mummy"

I have seen that, and yes I was a little bit sick in my mouth :o

glass you have to be on the wind-up, or seriously ignorant.

You can honestly see nothing wrong with a slogan that says 'they shake me' on a baby grow?

Confused Confused Confused

if it was a play on words/something else, then it was a perfect time to put me straight.

That poster chose not to, instead she chose to tell me she didn't want a fight.

It is lovely you are working so hard to defend her though, here have some Thanks

GlassofRose · 01/08/2012 16:30

Nope, nout wrong with it.

It's a joke, nobodies advocating shaking babies. If you don't find it funny thats fine, nobody asked you to. Finding something funny is a reaction, it's not always explainable.

I'm not ignorant or on a wind up, but you do seem to be making a huge effort to take offence.

Feminine · 01/08/2012 18:01

Oh Lordy glass I am not offended...I was just curious earlier.

Why is it impossible for you to see that originally all I wanted was some extra info, a babygrow with that on the front is just plan odd!.

GlassofRose · 01/08/2012 18:44

I don't understand what you needed more information on Confused

Babygrow + slogan.

Simple

MamaLazarou · 01/08/2012 18:50

YANBU. They are always bands that the parents think it's cool to like, too.

ravenAK · 01/08/2012 22:41

Not necssarily. I got ds a Queen shirt when his school wanted him to dress up for the Jubilee. I mean, I'll sing along to Queen on the radio, but no-one ever accused their fanbase of excessive cool.
