Don't like Pimms. The strawberry seeds get stuck in my teeth. Will be drinking a refreshing little rose later even though the sun's gone in.

Moominsarescary · 29/06/2012 18:22

I'd love pimms but dp has kept me bare foot and pregnant for the last 2.4 years

limitedperiodonly · 29/06/2012 18:23

DH is in Hong Kong btw so he'll have to get his own bleeding drink. The rose is all mine.

Moomin Grin.

Cremolafoam · 29/06/2012 18:25

I gather up all the clothes for everyone and wash them . Dh irons everything into the bag. We all sort our own wash bags electronics books and meds.
We load the car and go.
Simples.

My dh loves clothes and I have never bought him anything, even underwear, as he is so fussy. He also does his own packing so he can chose what to wear and fold it properly. ( I just chuck it all in).

But most men are not that bothered about clothes so maybe that is why they are quite happy for someone else to pack for them. I would never let my dh pack for me as I need to chose what clothes to take.

But I wish I could pack for dh as he always packs too many things. And I do all the packing lists and pack the dc's clothes .

So although we share tasks I suppose we do chose to do the things we are most interested in ie. women choosing the clothes and men sorting the car. What is wrong with that?

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 29/06/2012 19:02

Yes, I get left with all the shitwork, it is terrible.

I am currently sat on the sofa MNing, watching the tennis and drinking a G&T.

DH is upstairs dealing with a dirty nappy and two hyperactive small boys who need bathing.

I have a terribly unbalanced marriage Wink

Deadwasp · 29/06/2012 20:34

We usually have a few of our bits in each suitcase. Whatever fits in whoevers case. I pack and he unpacks and hangs everything when we get there (I wouldn't bother)

MissFaversam · 29/06/2012 20:34

Oh I have an idea, why not just stick them in it. All sorted Grin

Mrbojangles1 · 29/06/2012 20:54

To be honest yabu op my oh used to moan about this alot so on our seconed big hoilday i let him do it himself

When we got to turkey i found out to my horror he had packed

SWIM TRUNKS
BEACH TOWEL
SUN CREAM
AND DONVANS BEER GUIDE

NO KIDDING THATS ALL HE PACKED

It was such a pain i then had to spend the first two days of our hoilday tying z to find bits for him

Never again will he pack his own bag he simply cant be trusted

TobyLerone · 29/06/2012 21:12

I'm confused as to how my sudden refusal to do any further packing for my DP would make things better for women.

Presumably he wore clothes on the plane over there. He can borrow bojangles' toothbrush and use the hotel toiletries. Sorted.

Does no one remember the way to wear the same pair of pants 4 days in a row anymore? Once the right way, then back-to-front, then inside-out, then inside-out and back to front. Eight day holiday = 2 pairs of pants.
