I get it - she's tired, shes rubbing her eyes but LADY dont just ignore her and carry on shopping.
it was a bloody racket! take her out, cuddle her shushshushshush her - not just subject the rest of us to this cacophony

Mintyy what would you have preferred... I give my daughter the glass that she wants to hold herself which will end up smashed on the floor? I leave, even though I have just got my food? I never leave the house, so DD won't learn ho to behave in a restaurant and will be a badly behaved 10 year old? I let her tantrum for ten seconds (that was really how long it was) in a very noisy, very child friendly restaurant? Everyone else in the room smiled at us (they all had children with them, though).

Sirzy · 25/06/2012 15:26

In a shop I would finish the shopping as quick as possible and then leave, it's not always feasible to just leave. If it was a restaurant or somewhere though I would (and do) take them outside to finish their tantrum or calm them down as anything else is unfair on other diners

MammaTJ · 25/06/2012 15:27

AnnaMosity · 25/06/2012 15:29

This is what internet shopping was invented for.

AnnaMosity · 25/06/2012 15:32

"no, me looking at clothes is far more important than anyone else's aural comfort. ".

OP posts:
ilovesooty · 25/06/2012 15:38

It sounds as though to her looking at clothes was more important than the child's comfort, regardless of any annoyance caused to others.

usualsuspect · 25/06/2012 15:39

How dare other people shop at the same time as you Shock

AnnaMosity · 25/06/2012 15:40

There is that too. I almost told her to shop somewhere family friendly. Maybe matalan.

Now just you sounds like a self entitled twat! Where were you, Prada?

usualsuspect · 25/06/2012 15:41

They should empty the shop of riff raff as soon as you set foot in it.

AnnaMosity · 25/06/2012 15:41

I can't say. Let's just suggest it was aspirational to her.

OP posts:
Helmondo · 25/06/2012 15:41

So now mums are only 'allowed' to shop in certain places?

Wow

usualsuspect · 25/06/2012 15:41

Maybe even roll out the red carpet.

usualsuspect · 25/06/2012 15:42

I think the OP is a goader.

Not a very good one, mind.

milkovermayhem · 25/06/2012 15:43

Delusions of grandeur OP or just trying to wind people up?

AnnaMosity · 25/06/2012 15:43

Buggy access should be a warning sign.
Anyway the kid was yelling. It was annoying and IMO rude.
