to not find Johnny Depp remotely attractive?

Gosh there has been lots of excitement on MN in the last day or so at the news that he has split with his partner. MNers practically scratching each others eyes out to have first claim on him! Wink Which is all very lovely but....

I just don't see it. And I don't know why - I love beards, I love actors, I love talented men, I appreciate a slightly outlandish dress sense. But he does absolutely nothing for me. Not in his current state, not in his younger days - nada. Not even as Captain Jack Sparrow (see earlier beard reference)

Anyone else feel the same?

I think he's a bit knobbish and pretentious now tbh. Was quite hot in his younger days though.

I dont really understand the obsession with American actors when we have so many very lovely and talented actors over here.
Off the top of my head
John Simm
Phil Glenister Samuel West. David Morissey and the cute Lee Ingleby.
I cant understand the obsession with Johnny Depp Brad Pitt and pals.
They just leave me cold.

I do like english actors too -
Hugh Laurie (especially as Dr House!)
Paul Nicholls drools (and much closer to my age, so I might stand a chance Wink )
And best of All - Orlando Bloom (need I say more?!)

And all that arty farty, vintagey, tortured soul, rockstar vibe is most unappealing to me.

I'm too embarrassed to list my fantasy sleb hubby though!

He has really, really bad yellowy stained teeth. There are very few pictures of him smiling broadly on the red carpet, probably because of this. But there is one where he has his mouth open and you can see they're all nicotine stained.

Yuck! And odd given a) how much money he has and b) how obsessed Americans usually are about their teeth.

So, YANBU to me.
