Gosh there has been lots of excitement on MN in the last day or so at the news that he has split with his partner. MNers practically scratching each others eyes out to have first claim on him! Which is all very lovely but....

I just don't see it. And I don't know why - I love beards, I love actors, I love talented men, I appreciate a slightly outlandish dress sense. But he does absolutely nothing for me. Not in his current state, not in his younger days - nada. Not even as Captain Jack Sparrow (see earlier beard reference)

Anyone else feel the same?

Jason Isaacs has lived in London since the age of 11 and went to HABS! He hasn't got a strong Northern accent - he must have been putting it on for some reason!

Isaacs is from Liverpool but now has a carefully neutral accent (although the Scouse does come through a bit). I don't fancy his much at all, and I heard him on R4 recently and he interrupted the interviewer on EVERY SINGLE question. Seemed self-important and rude to me.

Well I have a weakness for George Harrison's accent in the Beatles films, but I cannot really hear the Northerner in Jason Isaacs. Maybe it is because I am Northern. Maybe he sounds Southern to Northerners and Northern to Southerners.

I never fancied johnny depp til I saw him on graham norton. He was gorgeous and very charismatic. Russell brand is gorgeous- I have kissed him four times at his meet and greets. Handsome and hunky in real life, polite and smelt divine! My all time fave though is Robert Downey jnr. Absolutely and utterly the most gorgeous man of all time. So sexy and fantastic actor. And like most men - just getting better and better looking as he gets older :) I. Love. Him. :)

Maybe I have a strange fetish taste for men in historical clothes but Tom Hardy in the Virgin Queen was amazing. Likewise Oliver Twist and Sweeney Todd. Not so sure about Wuthering Heights. I have yet to see horrible histories in "that" way though!
