Gosh there has been lots of excitement on MN in the last day or so at the news that he has split with his partner. MNers practically scratching each others eyes out to have first claim on him! Which is all very lovely but....

I just don't see it. And I don't know why - I love beards, I love actors, I love talented men, I appreciate a slightly outlandish dress sense. But he does absolutely nothing for me. Not in his current state, not in his younger days - nada. Not even as Captain Jack Sparrow (see earlier beard reference)

I think my standard for attractiveness is, was this person is Black Hawk Down? If they were not, their claim to attractiveness is dubious.

So Jason Isaacs, Eric Bana, Tom Hardy, Josh Hartnett etc = attractive.
Johnny Depp, Russell Brand = not attractive.

It is about some battle in Somalia. Orlando Bloom falls out of a helicopter and everything then goes wrong.

Everyone has the same uniform so it is a bit confusing, but fortunately they all have their name written on the front of their hats. Except Eric Bana, he is some kind of special type of skilled soldier, so he doesn't have a hat.
