What's the weather going to be like slipper?

Dinosaurdrip · 04/05/2012 10:29

Hmmm let's see, ah yes that's right I have to bloody work while DP and DC have fun! Jealous err ...........yes!

WorraLiberty · 04/05/2012 10:34

We're going on a sight seeing boat ride up and down the Thames.

Good job it's an 'all weather' boat Hmm

scrablet · 04/05/2012 10:35

Think am going to try a museum, out for lunch, and engage DD's in a bit of spring cleaning. Oh and maybe a trip to beach.
Whatever the weather, we will be out if we can.
Oh and some weeding...
(Actually will probably spend two days in jammies watching telly and one day running round doing washing, ironing, homework, shopping etc to get ready for rest of week!)

Will be watching with interest - I am struggling for ideas. DS2 wants to go walking up a mountain, but I don't fancy that in the rain.

Cheap ideas would be very welcome

slipperandpjsmum · 04/05/2012 11:21

We sometimes arrange a cinema evening. Make tickets and give them out. Then we make our own popcorn. Half way through the movie my eldest ds comes in with ice creams. Makes watching a dvd alot more fun.

That's really sweet.

manicbmc · 04/05/2012 11:45

A long lie in and a lot of sex Grin

However, I can heartily recommend The Avengers if you're going to the cinema.

FrankWippery · 04/05/2012 11:48

Taking DD3 to the cinema for her first time (she's just 3) to see Beauty and the Beast.

Weather permitting, will be pottering along the South Bank to see what's happening, eat stuff and maybe head to Borough Market to eat more stuff.

imnotmymum · 04/05/2012 11:48

was just going to put we are going to see avengers well DS and me the girls are going to watch hunger games, then a pizza and maybe a spot of shopping

CalmaLlamaDown · 04/05/2012 11:51

Oh yes i remember when bank holidays were 'bonk' holidays too, before we had a child that is...

pearliwhile · 04/05/2012 11:55

walking we don't care about the weather - we're just crazy like that.

mythical · 04/05/2012 11:56

Hopefully, have a baby :o

WorraLiberty · 04/05/2012 11:58

It's a 3 day weekend mythical what else do you plan on doing? Grin

Best of luck by the way Thanks

SingingSands · 04/05/2012 12:01

I love Borough Market - went 2 weeks ago and my eyes were on stalks with all the lovely food. Unfortunately we live in Leeds so it's a bit of a trek just to get a foodie fix.

We are getting the train to Scarborough tomorrow. Donning our raincoats and wellies for a paddle in the sea, will eat ice creams on the beach in whatever weather, play on the arcades, let the kids spend a couple of quid on seaside tat then finish off with fish n chips before heading home.

slipperandpjsmum · 04/05/2012 12:02

Does anyone have any 'home made' sort of plans? My dh is working all weekend so I will be on my own. My imagination seems to have abandoned me!

OP posts:
mythical · 04/05/2012 12:03

Erm .. Didn't think of it like that :o
Have a baby, come home and eat pâté and brie! And get to grips with bf, hopefully
There :o

This is obviously of no help to the OP (sorry)
If the situation was .. Different we would probably have a barbecue and take the digits down the beach for a walk :)

mythical · 04/05/2012 12:04

Digits!?!? Dogs (thanks phone!)

ripsishere · 04/05/2012 12:04

Driving to Norfolk at 6am on Sunday morning for a BBQ. Weather is not looking promising though.
Tomorrow me and DD will be getting ready for the trek on Sunday. I wish she could drive.
Apart from that, assuming it doesn't rain, which is a big assumption I might have a go at painting the shed.

Astr0naut · 04/05/2012 12:10

Off to Llandudno tomorrow, even though it's going to be cold. THe main aim is to take ds on a train, but there'll be steam trains and that there too because they have a big VIctorian festival on.

Sunday will be the local funfair. I want candyfloss.

Monday it will rain and we will bicker all day.

Ah for teh days when bank holidays were crisps and abottle of cava in bed.

FrankWippery · 04/05/2012 12:15

Singing, I will generously sample plenty on your behalf...

Home made weekend - will no doubt be baking, watching rubbish and baking some more Grin

craftynclothy · 04/05/2012 12:24

Visiting the IL's. You're welcome to take my place especially as I have an assignment to do before Weds that I haven't even started

Quenelle · 04/05/2012 12:26

We're going to visit our oldest, best friends. You can come with us, they're great fun and DS loves them.

CurrySpice · 04/05/2012 12:29

The kids are going to watch a tennis tournament with a freind tomorrow morning then I am returning the favour to that friend by taking her DD with us to see Beauty and the Beast 3D (which we are all uncontrollably excited about!)

If the weather is OK we may go to the garden show in Southend

On Sunday night the kids go to their dad's and I'm going up northe to see my mom as it's her birthday on Monday

So Monday will be day out somewhere, and family tea

Can't wait! :o
