Anything free with two under threes that doesn't cost any money to get too and suitable for an accident prone potty trainer, and wet weather. Oh. Staying at home then being lonely trying to cobble together meals out of nothing and not murder the kids. Yay. Hate bank holidays

CurrySpice · 04/05/2012 12:33

No slippers I am. My DP is in Kazakhstan :(

Ex is at work till Sunday night so I am alone with the kids till then

bringmesunshine2009 · 04/05/2012 12:34

Hello slippers, me too. Walks in piss down rain with puddle jumping. Oh score!

sausagesandmarmelade · 04/05/2012 12:34

Film club at local cinema tomorrow with a little one, followed by lunch and a walk to Gelato Mio (where I shall treat her and her Mummy) to an Icecream!

Topps Tiles also beckons...as we are having our kitchen done soon....and visiting Rels (obligatory) Smile

argghh · 04/05/2012 12:37

Im still chuckling at taking the digits for a walk down the beach

Did have football stuff on Sat and Mon but its all been cancelled, am going swimming Sunday (thankyou british Gas for free tickets) and I also have free cinema tickets (thankyou Esso) so shall probably do that too.

Was hoping to get garden cleared a bit but thats looking doubtful

argghh · 04/05/2012 12:38

Its just me and the kids too although I rarely see oldest one as he is always out (living the life I used to lead Grin )

FoodUnit · 04/05/2012 12:38

going to meet up with my sister and kids at Camden Lock, catch a narrow boat to little venice, and see the canalway calvalcade.

joshandjamie · 04/05/2012 12:39

I am going to do a treasure hunt with my boys. If it's torrential rain, we might just get wet and end it with a hot chocolate!

Beamur · 04/05/2012 12:42

Forecast is for rain here, so I'm thinking cinema with trip to cafe. Or staying at home and painting/play doh type activities - I've also picked up some cheap activity/sticker/making magazines which my DD loves doing. If I don't keep her busy she will make me play with Sylvanians...

InnitDoh · 04/05/2012 12:44

A massive spring clea of the house all weekend, then a trip to a National Trust estate to see the bluebells if it isn't pissing it. If it's chucking it - cinema and meal out.

doublechocchip · 04/05/2012 12:48

Am in work tomorrow day then we're having friends round for a spanish themed evening, going shopping in a bit to stock up on chorizo, peppers and the ingredients for sangria! No other plans as yet but at least one of dh's friends can be relied on to have a last minute get-together (was our turn last time) so will all go there on the sunday!

WhaleOilBeefHookedIWill · 04/05/2012 12:56

I hate the assumption all bank holiday weekends will be a long weekend for everyone. All over Facebook on the radio etc people are harping on about the upcoming 'long weekend'. We live in a 24 hour society, people work shifts not all jobs start monday 9am and we don't all have POETS day!!!
Rant over

slipperandpjsmum · 04/05/2012 13:03

Yes totally agree Whale my dh works every bank hol and I always feel the most lonley then. All my friends are doing stuff as a family and I feel like an intruder if I were to suggest going round.

ratspeaker · 04/05/2012 13:04

Not a holiday for us on Monday
local hospital arent treating it as staff day off though GP surgery closed.
DD has an exam on Monday
DS working

StepfordWannabe · 04/05/2012 13:04

Attempting to begin toilet training my DD shudder - anyone want to swap?

TheThingUpstairs · 04/05/2012 13:09

Going to see the muppets film (may be more excited about this then the dc) and maybe tea out. Musuems or other free stuff and best of all going to friends wedding.

SingingSands · 04/05/2012 13:14

I forgot that I have also planned to go to the Saltaire Arts Trail tomorrow, so the train to Scarborough might have to wait until Sunday!

Stellarforstar · 04/05/2012 13:34

Baking probably. Looking after the littlies whilst DP is laying the patio, fantasising about George Clooney rocking up and taking me to Lake Como on his private jet, where I can sunbathe and drink lots of gin and tonic whilst he reads me a lovely story with his gorgeous voice and rubs suncream into my back.

Along with panicking about how I am going to fill the summer holidays...

bringmesunshine2009 · 04/05/2012 13:35

I want stellars holiday dream!

bringmesunshine2009 · 04/05/2012 13:37

We need a list. How old are the DC slippers? Mine are 2 and 1

slipperandpjsmum · 04/05/2012 14:10

Yes, a list! Mine are 15, although he will do his own thing I would like to try and lure him into some family stuff, the others, 10, 9 and 4.

oldraver · 04/05/2012 14:11

Probably cutting up the tree that fell down last weekend.

We were hoping to take DS to Abingdon Airshow as he is obsessed with Spitfires but think the car is too poorly to make it

ILikeTrains · 04/05/2012 14:29

I was thinking of buying some fruit shoots and sitting them in front of the telly all weekend :o

PoohBearsHole · 04/05/2012 14:49

Don't know where you are but come to Nickel's meet up!

She allows children too Wink
