ooooh. a posh kids vs commoner types dispute!

DD does tennis. The courts belong to the posh public school and the tennis club rents them for lessons/games etc as the town doesn't have courts for us commoners.

DD has just phoned me to tell me the posh kids are refusing to leave and the teacher is taking them on.

I hope it doesn't end in fisticuffs.

I know i'm not unreasonable at all but as we all love a private vs state controversy i decided this would be the ideak place for it.

In my experience (other side of the posh fence) the commoners need to be aware that the posh girls will not play nicely. Underhand methods may be needed to get them off the courts and into the hedge....

Your DD should film the schoolchildren who are refusing to leave and you should email the film to their headteacher.

I'm imagining a pitched battle involving fencing foils, lacrosse sticks and tennis bats.

If they are not supposed to be on court they should do as they are told and let 'commoners' have their slot.

I dont get it ? do you mean the posh kids are being confrontational because they cant use the court Our area is very mixed and the posh kids are lovely my dd goes about with some private school kids and they really are just normal teenagers maybe a bit richer thats all ,

Perhaps the 'posh kids' are actually pupils from one of the other 'commoner' schools that pay to sample a little of the wonder that is a bit of flat concrete with a net on it?

My son doesn't attend private school but if a teacher told him to leave the tennis court he would, especially if other children were waiting.

Actually cheese it sounds like the posh school are being classist, by deliberately holding up the kids who they know perfectly well have as much right there as the council are paying for hire. They're making the point, not the OP or her DD.

'Bundle' is what was shouted at our comp before some poor bugger totally flattened by half the school.

The boys at dds high school cause constant rammys (scottish fight ) when people try and use the playing courts ,

Actually private school does mean often that you are posh.

snotty kids are snotty kids whether they're at eton or bash street. Manners are what are important and respect for other people. I've found both lacking in all sorts of youngsters, and also both to be found. Just sayin'.
