ooooh. a posh kids vs commoner types dispute!

DD does tennis. The courts belong to the posh public school and the tennis club rents them for lessons/games etc as the town doesn't have courts for us commoners.

DD has just phoned me to tell me the posh kids are refusing to leave and the teacher is taking them on.

I hope it doesn't end in fisticuffs.

I know i'm not unreasonable at all but as we all love a private vs state controversy i decided this would be the ideak place for it.

our common school has shirt/blouse tie and blazer for seniors so

Posh kids go to violin lessons common kids do keyboard Grin

Um guitar actually. But DD1 does ballet. And i own a collection of emma bridgewater mugs. I'm still skint though.

thebestisyettocome - I'm very liberal with my blame and am happy to blame the LEA too. Also the government who made them cash-strapped enough to have to do it. Tory government (Thatcher - I'm old) therefore bunch of posh toffs, most of whom sent their kids to private schools much like the ones getting the benefit of our playing fields.

[whistles innocently and hopes no-one checks my previous comments / knows which school my DS is heading to come September]

the Recorder is god awful I hate it dd2 played it for a while till i banned it to school it was her 2nd instrument for music i isnt an instrument its torture
