To ring the council and ask them to deal with this

Some c**t has kindly allowed their dog to shit on the corner outside our house- a route commonly used by kids going to school/oldies on their merry way. I cant bring myself to move someone elses dogs shit nor should I have to but I dont want it sat outside the house being trod in and walked all around the neighbourhood. WIBU to ring the council and ask them to sort this environmental health risk as tbh im fucking fuming

Just pick it up........................ geez!!

EauDeLaPoisson · 05/03/2012 09:27

Why the actual fuck should I pick someone elses dogs doings up? Please explain that to me?

OP posts:
southeastastra · 05/03/2012 09:28

geez??? i wouldn't pick it up

EauDeLaPoisson · 05/03/2012 09:29

I know I didn't like to comment on 'geez' glad someone else did!

JaneMare · 05/03/2012 09:29

you don't have to pick it up, get a big bucket of very hot water and rinse it into the road

why should a council worker come and pick it up if you won't?

ljgibbs · 05/03/2012 09:30

YABU Get a bucket of water and flush it into the gutter.

needinstructions · 05/03/2012 09:30

I wouldn't pick it up either. YANBU to ring the council. Ours has a special number to call for stuff like that so presumably they see it as part of their duties too/

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 05/03/2012 09:30

I second rinsing it into the gutter with a bucket of water.

Surely it's better to deal with it now, rather than having to scrape it of your children's shoes later on today?

iamme43 · 05/03/2012 09:33

So are you going to pick it up or rinse it away or just watch its progress all day..............

TheBigJessie · 05/03/2012 09:34

The council do take care of dog excrement, if it's reported. Although not necessarily immediately.

They turn up in full environmental hazard suit, as well, or they used to.

EauDeLaPoisson · 05/03/2012 09:36

Why should a council worker do it rather than me? Well lets see....a) they are paid to take care of environmental hazards, dog foul, fly tipping and used hypodermic needles for one b) I pay council tax so expect some services when needed and c)because its not my fucking dog

iamme43 · 05/03/2012 09:37

This is really a funny thread over a bit of dog poo.........................

EauDeLaPoisson · 05/03/2012 09:37

I have rang the council, they have logged it and will deal with it. So pressumably they dont see it as the person who reports its problem as well. Im a bit shocked so many feel the onus to sort it is on the person who 'finds' it so to speak

OP posts:
takingiteasy · 05/03/2012 09:38

I would report it. Someone has kindly taken to letting their dog shit outside my garden and I refuse to pick it up. I'm on maternity leave now and my sole mission is to catch the fucker in the act and take photos and get them fined!

gettingalifenow · 05/03/2012 09:38

Just get a bucket and get on with it. Why is everything always someone elses's responsibility?

nice to see public spirit is alive and kicking in your neck of the woods Hmm

seriously, sitting in your nice warm cosy house bratting about a pile of poo with a bunch of people who don't really give a shit (yes, self and pun intended) someone is now scraping shit off their DCs shoes when you could have done something about it?

EauDeLaPoisson · 05/03/2012 09:40

Why is everything always someone elses's responsibility?

What an utterly stupid contradictory statement. So I shouldn't call the council who's job it is to clean environmental hazards- it should be MY responsibility to sort SOMEONE ELSES mess out?

OP posts:
takingiteasy · 05/03/2012 09:40

Why is what falls out of someone elses dogs arse my problem?

woollyideas · 05/03/2012 09:41

Knucklehead?
Was that really necessary?

EauDeLaPoisson · 05/03/2012 09:41

Yes Jane I have if you read- reported it to the council. Does community spirit now extend to picking up other lazy wankers animals excrement? Wow thats a new one on me

EauDeLaPoisson · 05/03/2012 09:42

Erm when someone finds dog shit being left around on pavements amusing yes it is- its very mild too

OP posts:
DoingTheBestICan · 05/03/2012 09:42

We have this problem on the route to school,we are encouraged by the council to ring them & they will deal with it.
They come & pick it up & hose the pavement down too,in fact the owner of the dog was caught last week just letting her dogs out to shit wherever they wanted to & she was reported & has had a letter from the council about it,since then we have had a nice clean pavement.
YADNBU to pick someone elses dog shit up,ring the council as they will have a special dept to deal with it.
