Angelina Jolie's Oscar's Leg.

That's right; a thread being vile about a WOMAN

WTF was that all about? For anyone who hasn't seen

Why was she standing with her leg about 5ft away from the rest of her body? She looked awkward and weird and her leg looked like a chicken leg whereas mine are wonderful, obviously.

AIBU to think that Angelina's Oscar Leg was a bit ridiculous?

OP posts:
fabwoman · 29/02/2012 11:34

No, actually, I wouldn't want legs like hers. Mine aren't particularly nice but they do the job they need too.

BettyPerske · 29/02/2012 11:40

Ooh gosh the thing I find when I look at her is I just think, what a POSER.

That's a shame as she might be great underneath but she looks so utterly conscious of trying to impress, it's not attractive, well not to me.

Natalie Portman looks really beautiful and I love Penélope Cruz's dress so much. Most of the others look a bit dodgy. Maria something is very pretty (green dress with strappy things).

Main point of interest is George C having a girlfriend Smile

Charliefarlie1192 · 29/02/2012 11:42

I have got better legs than AJ they are my only redeeming feature, think potato with amazing legs

Someone please tell me what the 'joke' was? She isn't human, she looks like a waxwork

limitedperiodonly · 29/02/2012 11:43

Yes it was Goldie.

We met for her other feminist masterpiece, The Banger Sisters, co-starring her fellow charm-vacuum Susan Sarandon.

I like the beginning of Private Benjamin. The second half where she starts being competent and indulges in espionage and snogging with that creepy Armand Assante is disappointing.

I posted something in Feminism praising the surprisingly feminist plotline of Tootsie. I think I got away with it.

TBH they can be very friendly Smile

scaryteacher · 29/02/2012 11:48

I thought AJ would have looked much better with some kind of hosiery (black), rather than pasty pins.

AbsofCroissant · 29/02/2012 11:49

"I posted something in Feminism praising the surprisingly feminist plotline of Tootsie. I think I got away with it"

See limited, this is why you're turning into my new hero.

TobyLerone · 29/02/2012 11:59

I'm more sad about Susan Sarandon not being nice than Goldie Hawn.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 29/02/2012 12:14

Goldie!

GetOrfMoiiLand · 29/02/2012 12:17

ACTUALLY speaking of Goldie - that pose of TwatAnge reminds me of Goldie from the X factor this year <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=goldie+x+factor&um=1&hl=en&safe=active&sa=N&biw=973&bih=730&tbm=isch&tbnid=IPRzrq4Z-6MH4M:&imgrefurl=unrealityshout.com/node/10370&docid=f78oJA-CoOP5-M&imgurl=unrealityshout.com/files/imagecache/image_460/golide-cheung.jpg&w=296&h=390&ei=ORdOT9zINoGp0QXv4_WdBQ&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=370&sig=106871752182801590200&page=1&tbnh=128&tbnw=83&start=0&ndsp=21&ved=1t:429,r:13,s:0&tx=66&ty=107" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">look

GetOrfMoiiLand · 29/02/2012 12:18

The mumnet feminists are great. Most of them are just lovely posters who are all over the other boards anyway.

I have spouted all sorts of shite over there, nobody has ever flamed me.

One of the best threads I have read on MN was the feminist analysis of the TV show Friends. It was brilliant.

NowThenWreck · 29/02/2012 12:19

No! Susan Sarandon is a godess! What did she do to make you say that limited?
Please tell me so I can judge whether SWBU.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 29/02/2012 12:19

Upset about Goldie Hawn.

AND Susan Sarandon.

noddyholder · 29/02/2012 12:26

An old friend of mine did Goldies hair a couple of times in London in the 90s and said she was lovely

LeBOF · 29/02/2012 12:34

I think Goldie has always been very very nice to her hairdressers. She is not daft. And I bet the lighting rig boys have knobs so polished that they emit a kind of soft glow of their own...

limitedperiodonly · 29/02/2012 12:40

I was completely unaware of the existence of the person known as Goldie Cheung until this point, so thank you.

Glad to see someone has taken up the baton of Jacko in the grabbing of their own private parts.

JennyPiccolo · 29/02/2012 12:41

I got a goldie haircut last week, I have to admit im loving myself silly in it.

LeBOF · 29/02/2012 12:43

Taking up the baton of Jacko has caused all manner of problems for the youth of today.

limitedperiodonly · 29/02/2012 13:00

Totally true about Feminism and the women who post there GetOrf although I never spout shite myself Wink

What did Susan Sarandon do to me? Just behaved as if I was a very much lesser being than her because obviously I don't hold Important Views and have never appeared in a cliched alleged comedy about two superannuated groupies which hid its sociopolitical and feminist subtexts so well they didn't appear to be there. Wait a minute, maybe that's because there were no sociopolitical and feminist subtexts.

Got off to a bad start with Goldie and went downhill from there. I blame it on being dazzled by her aura those fucking arc lights. I realised it was time to get my coat when her phone rang and she said: 'I have to talk to Kurt now'.

noddyholder · 29/02/2012 13:16

Still want to look like her when I'm old(er)

AbsofCroissant · 29/02/2012 14:07

Agreed, most of the Feminism ladies are lovely, though I do blame them (partly) for ruining many tv shows (friends for e.g.) and movies for me. Last night I was watching "Just go with it" and was all "how terrible, objectifying whasserface the one in the bikini like that. Pscha". Though I did love the sheep jokes.

sonicrainboom · 29/02/2012 14:47

Abs it's like the Matrix. Once you are aware you see the sexism that you previously didn't notice. But it was there all the time.
I always thought there was something off with Friends but didn't knew how to articulate it before. Thanks, Internet!

limitedperiodonly · 29/02/2012 15:23

Abs ignore that. I like Snoop Dog. It's okay because Julie Bindel admitted she does too. It would be okay anyway because it's my opinion. But I like Julie Bindel a lot and she can fight my battles any day.

ps don't say ladies. Smile

AbsofCroissant · 29/02/2012 15:26

I can't say ladies? I like saying ladies - it makes me sound politer than I am in person. I also say gentleman, if that balances things out?

AbsofCroissant · 29/02/2012 15:28

I'm now Bechdel Testing all over the countryside, and Seinfeld doesn't hold up that well. Nor does my social life

sonicrainboom · 29/02/2012 15:38

Do you never talk to another woman, about something besides men?
