Angelina Jolie's Oscar's Leg.

That's right; a thread being vile about a WOMAN

WTF was that all about? For anyone who hasn't seen

Why was she standing with her leg about 5ft away from the rest of her body? She looked awkward and weird and her leg looked like a chicken leg whereas mine are wonderful, obviously.

AIBU to think that Angelina's Oscar Leg was a bit ridiculous?

I think, when it comes down to it, I'm more team Angelina in some ways than team Jennifer. Apart from the whole Angelina seducing a married man thing, that's just so uncool.

I think essentially it comes down to:

  • bubbly, popular with the girls, girl next door, cheerleader vs.
  • socially awkward, gets on with men a bit arrogant
I'm more like part 2.

deep.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 28/02/2012 11:44

For heaven's sake. 'Angelina seducing a married man'. HE had a choice and HE made a decision. It was not all down to her. This attitude that it's all about 'maneating' seductive evil sirens stealing away poor defenceless men is damaging and offensive to both genders.

TobyLerone · 28/02/2012 11:47

Quite, LadyClarice.

That attitude IMO is no better than saying that Jen deserved to lose him because she's boring and less attractive.

Anyway, back to the dresses. Kate Hudson looked horrid. Shapeless and nasty.

BupcakesandCunting · 28/02/2012 11:48

Oh no. I don't dislike her because she was norti and stoled Bread from Jen. Bread wanted to be stoled, the nasty, monkey-faced, piss-whiffing shitehawk.

I dislike her because she is an idiot.

HTH. xxx

Also, she ain't goning to age well. Imagine those lips on a seventy-year old fisog. She will look like Mick Jagger in drag, you mark my words.

OP posts:
MinnieBar · 28/02/2012 11:51

Justin's legs are too thin for me but I guess as Jen is stick-thin too, they go together quite well.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 28/02/2012 11:52

Wasn't talking about you, Bupcakes. It was in response to Abs and, upthread, porcamiseria.

And what do you mean 'She will look like Mick Jagger in drag'? She already does, no? Hmm Grin

AbsofCroissant · 28/02/2012 11:53

apols, I was focusing on the lady issues, ignoring Bread. Maybe I've been semi-doing Dukan for too long, ignoring Bread is just part and parcel of my day to day life.

Haven't seen Kate Hudson. Personally, I think my fave is Penelope Cruz. Gwyneth was too boring, EVEN wearing a cape, which says something. Next year I think she should wear a Wonder Woman costume and totally NAIL a caped outfit, unlike this year. Meryl Streep = bacofoil, but in a good way.

LadyWord · 28/02/2012 11:55

Hmmm I can't in all conscience be team Jolie or team Aniston. Angelina just looks plastic and rubbery to me, and DP lurves her! How irritating. Leg schmeg. She's just so "I'm soooo sexy hollywood glamour, get me, get me and my leg and my handsome bloke" yawwn. Even so if I had to have one of them round for tea it would be her, not boring pants Jen. She is through girl next door and out the other side.

Now as for frocks, I liked Michelle Williams's best, amazing colour - but classic example of how sometimes people would look better with a bigger bum and thighs. (My own arse, for example would fill it a bit better :o)

here (like wiig's frock colour as well)

BupcakesandCunting · 28/02/2012 11:55

Justin Theroux might have thin legs but he has SMASHING eyebrows and I would go at him like a bastard.

OP posts:
TobyLerone · 28/02/2012 11:55

Oh, I fucking LOATHE Gwyneth. To the point where, had she worn Penelope's dress, I probably would have hated it. I cannot be objective where that woman is concerned although she does have really nice hair.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 28/02/2012 11:56

Kate Hudson's dress was vile - it had that flesh coloured gauze on the back, like you see on those ghastly dresses which ice skaters wear.

I don't like kate Hudson anyway. I don't do 'zany' or 'kooky'.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 28/02/2012 11:56

Gwyn looked the best of the whole lot, I think.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 28/02/2012 11:58

Kate Hudson is an also-ran. Unlike her mother, who is The Real Thing and someone I would love to go for cocktails with.

BupcakesandCunting · 28/02/2012 11:58

GOD I can't abide Kate Hudson. Her face puts me in mind of a petulant Veruca Salt-type toddler girl who scweam and scweam until she is sthick unless she can have the strawberry sundae with sprinkles AND silver balls. And her new boyfriend Matt Bellamy from Muse looks like he should be sat on a rock in the sun catching flies on his tongue.

Srsly, she just wants to collect sperms from rockstars to make little rockstar babies. The fruitloop.

AJ even struck that ridiculous pose on stage. I don't mind AJ i think she is basically a decent person, but she did go down in my estimation with all that posturing. In fact she reminded me of that waste of space
Paris Hilton who always thrusts her vagina forward and places one arm on her waist while pouting (attempting to ) seductively.
BTW, if George Clooney is straight so is George Michael.
When i was a teen , i had a massive crush on GM and refused to believe he was gay. I was obviously in denial...

AbsofCroissant · 28/02/2012 12:10

Oh yes, Goldie Hawn is Awesome. So much so, that Rihanna was recently doing an homage to her hair c. Private Benjamin.
Third picture
Is that not pretty much Private Benjamin?
Tah dah!

GetOrfMoiiLand · 28/02/2012 12:13

I love Goldie Hawn - she comes across as sho charming.

noddyholder · 28/02/2012 12:17

I aspire to be like goldie in my 60s all kaftans and sunny hair I love her!

BupcakesandCunting · 28/02/2012 12:20

I like Goldie. She's like a proper '60s person, all shaggy long fringe and massive doe eyes.

I get annoyed with AJ because of her 'take-me-seriously' schtick but have not yet seen her do any proper acting in a film that actually impressed me since 'Girl, Interrupted'. Now that she is involved in making documentaries I will have to reserve judgement on that until I know more....perhaps she will turn out to be brilliant at it. Perhaps.

Jen on the other hand makes the WORST romcoms and yet occasionally can be properly funny (Office Space) or do serious good acting (The Good Girl) which reminds me why I liked her in the first place.

Not really been impressed by Brad since Fight Club but I know The Assassination of Jesse James is meant to be brilliant, just not got round to seeing it yet. Moneyball is meant to be good too.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 28/02/2012 12:24

Oh yes, take AJ SERIOUSLY because she is a UN goodwill ambassador.

So was Geri fucking Halliwell. They're not exactly choosy.

I have never seen AJ in a decent film, she can't even pull off acting in a 'worthy' film like that one where her son went missing. I never saw Girl Interrupted because I am an unreconstructed WINONA RYDER HATER.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 28/02/2012 12:25

I nearly joined the army because of Private Benjamin, that is the absolute god's honest truth. Went in the army careers office and everything (and then fucked off at high speed when I understood the reality).

NormanTebbit · 28/02/2012 12:25

I was just about to mention Geri Halliwell - I thought I had imagined that one, but clearly not.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 28/02/2012 12:26

I also love the MNer upthread who ponders on how AJ gets her bedsocks on when her legs stick out like that Grin
