Odd question, didn't want to put it in BF since that seems to be about mums currently BFing rather than post. Maybe not.

I was 34C prior to DC1, 34D during pregnancy, didn't BF and returned to 34C once I lost baby weight.

34D again during 2nd pregnancy, did BF DC2 and 4 months on from stopping, am a small 34B, i.e. small as in empty and just about 34B.

A friend told me that up to 6 months post-BF, they can return to pre-pg size. Did anyone experience this? Do I sound pathetic, checking the poor things everyday to see if they have gained that elusive cup size?

mine are just about the same apart from being every so slightly lower down! They were a bit empty looking for about 6 months after b/f but then they filled up again. I am 48

32D before pg DS. 5 and a half years and a DD later I'm 34DD although am back to pre pg weight. I can't work out how the weight has shifted around to do this! I wish I would go back to my old size as I still have all my pretty bras from back then and can't wear them.

I stopped BF'ing 1 year ago, but still get drops of milk if I give them a squeeze, enough to shoot out and freak out DP. Because of this he still can't touch them as we are both uncomfortable about it. Really wish they would go back to normal.

MardyBra · 13/02/2012 16:44

They needed a rest, so I sent them on holiday to a cottage in Eastbourne on their wn for a couple of weeks. Wink

permanently have you seen you doctor? I had that for eight months and had a blood test for hormones. It dried up whilst I was waiting for results, bizzarely!

I have to say my boobs are about the same, but not as full at the top.

runningforthebusinheels · 14/02/2012 00:59

Mine are pretty the same and bf 3 babies. I thought I might get that '1 cup size biger' thing but no - bcup before and a bcup after.

However, neither pregnancy or bf made my boobs sag - they are still pretty pert and I am 41 now. Maybe that's because they were never humungous?

NCIS · 14/02/2012 09:13

I'm a 34B after breastfeeding 3 DC's for a total of three years. I'm 47 now and can still do the pencil test. I think it took about a year after finishing feeding for them to get back to normal.
Don't know if it's relevant but I did wear a bra all the time when feeding, needed to keep the breast pad in place otherwise I would have drowned during the night.

snicksnack · 14/02/2012 15:01

I was a 34A before children, 3 DCs and a year of breastfeeding each and my boobs are almost non-existent. Only stopped 3 months or so ago so having read this feel hopeful that might get something back...they are perky though! I am also pretty slight in build (same weight as Pre children) so perhaps they'll just stay like this :(

GoingForGoalWeight · 14/02/2012 16:39

No, i think you're all telling lies on this thread. Show me the evidence Grin

purplepansy · 14/02/2012 17:03

saggy, lop sided and virtually non existent...but according to my DH I have better nipples....Blush I did bf 4 kids for a year each, so they've taken a bit of a battering. I don't care mind...hated having massive pregnancy and feeding boobs!

saggybaps · 14/02/2012 18:24

... got EVEN bigger (I was a 34F to start) and as the name suggests...

fiventhree · 14/02/2012 18:45

I am 51. I breast fed at 19, 27, 36, 38 and 40.

I probably was 34 c when younger. I put on weight during my 30s and got to 38D ish. Then I lost it at 45 ish, dropped 3 dress sizes. Each dress size I dropped, my bra back size went down and cup size went up, each time by one size.

Now I am 34 G. The John Lewis bra fitter says that many women dont lose weight off their breasts as a result of feeding, or as a result of dieting. This has been generally true for me.

Now I am post menopausal (maybe 18months- 2 years) , and although my breasts are a little less full than in my early forties, I would barely notice, and am not especially saggy or droopy. The lady at Bravissimo last time I was fitted commented on it.

So I dont think it is necessarily a big deal. And possibly genetic too? I am hourglass in shape, so maybe that is a factor? God knows.

sozzledchops · 14/02/2012 18:56

Bf first just over 2 yrs, second for 6 months. my boobs are fine, not much changed and now mid 40's but they were always small anyway which probably helps. Shame the rest of me isn't faring so well though.
