To ask what happened to your breasts after breastfeeding?

Odd question, didn't want to put it in BF since that seems to be about mums currently BFing rather than post. Maybe not.

I was 34C prior to DC1, 34D during pregnancy, didn't BF and returned to 34C once I lost baby weight.

34D again during 2nd pregnancy, did BF DC2 and 4 months on from stopping, am a small 34B, i.e. small as in empty and just about 34B.

A friend told me that up to 6 months post-BF, they can return to pre-pg size. Did anyone experience this? Do I sound pathetic, checking the poor things everyday to see if they have gained that elusive cup size?

Mine are bigger and boobier than before I had kids and bf. 34dd when I got ph with dc1, 36f while bf. 36dd when got pg with dc2, went up to 36f while pg and 36hh while bf. I'm now a generous 36h. They have gone south for the winter tbh, and they certainly don't look like they did before I got pg but on the whole I don't mind them, just wish they were smaller.

Stayed biggish well a good 34D from a 34B

After 32E

I'm still bf DD who has just turned 2. Those of you who have exended bf - did your boobs stay the same when you finally stopped or did they shrivel?

I don't know I haven't stopped yet in 6y and I'm pg again....

Boobs went from a D to a GG over that time. I'm actually a half a stone lighter than when I got pg with first - though I didn't put much weight on with her my boobs went up.

Lost just under 2 st since finally finishing with bf - with dieting after getting depressed about weight not magically dropping off. Boobs down two cups sizes and a chest size ie 2 inches before diet no changes in size.

So TangerinePuppet they haven't shriveled and look o.k and only smaller through actually working at weight loss which was very steady. They are not pert though but they've never really been very pert anyway.

34d pre preg up to 36dd during bf then back to 36c. norks not quite as perky but i think that's age related and not bf related.

30C before pg with DD (DC1). BF for 6 months, was 36H while feeding. Went down to 28E after.

28E before pg with DS1 (DC2). BF for 4 months, was a 36J while feeding. Went down to a 30E after.

30E before pg with DS2 (DC3). Bf for 3 months, was a 36K while feeding. Went down to a 32G after.

32G before pg with DS3 (DC4). BF for 12 months, was a 40H while feeding. Am currently stopping right now. Norks are too big to size today. They Jeffing hurt. Goodness knows what size I'll be when they've gone back to normal.

I'd LOVE to have B/C cup norks. I might be able to buy a pretty bra. Rather than something that looks like industrial scaffolding.

Back to 32c or d depending on bra. Still full and perky, still pass pencil test

Mine were about 32B before getting pregnant, 34D after and 30/32D now, depending on shape.

They were quite saggy after a year of bf, but 6 years on they look better, actually. Or maybe I just got used to them.

Is the pencil test where you see if you can hold a pencil underneath? Do you 'pass' if the pencil drops to the floor?

If so - then I fail spectacularly. I could hold the whole Jeffing pencil CASE under mine...

Don't try the pencil test, I did and it hasn't been seen since.

Good bras and nightwear with in built bras - then you can mostly ignore the problem of non pertness.

Ive got tiny boobs, no idea what size they are now but Im bf my second child and Im prettt sure they wont do the oranges in a sock (or peanuts in glove digit?) because its one of the few perks (ha!!) of having small breasts.

I'm another one who was wearing the wrong size for years - 34D and now a 30G - although I think that's more to do with the fact that bras come in a better range of sizes nowadays. You couldn't get a narrow band with a big cup in the Dark Ages 17 years ago.

Definitely saggier, although mine are better now than I expected them to be at this age. I failed the pencil test at about age 18 (probably from wearing my auntie's 2nd hand bras - thanks mum ), but now I think they're not too bad for a 48 y/o mum of three - my skin isn't wrinkly, anyway.

I still can't get used to the lack of cleavage though - that nice padded bit that peeked over low necklines disappeared somewhere in the mid-40s I think. Tragic.

One thing: anyone else's nipples not gone back to normal? Mine seem to stay permanently soft now, like they were when feeding - plus if my bra is too tight, or I've put weight on, they feel like they've been rubbed with a matchbox. Can't let body oil or lotion touch me there either.

BF 3 x DC for a total of 4 years.

Started off as 38 HH. Increased insize whilst BF and now 38 HH again.

Cupsize the same. Weight the same. Rib cage wider by a size. Feet wider.
