AIBU to feel upset that a well known journo sent me a shirty tweet?

I follow someone who I find amusing and likeable but recently tweeted her for giving away the ending to a series on telly (watching on sky+).
We've exchanged many tweets over the years and I sent a low key grumble but got a nasty lob back.
Ffs- I've felt all snubbed all week. Am I daft?

Or boasting? Wink

ShagOBite · 10/02/2012 20:44

Go on, who is it?

CeliaFate · 10/02/2012 20:45

No, I'd feel the same, but I must know who it was or at least the name of the series before I can say more Wink Go on, spill.
I often find celebs on Twitter don't bother to answer the run of the mill questions, because they have 100000s of followers, but as you've discovered they do find time to have a go at people. Says more about them than you, don't sweat it.

GrahamTribe · 10/02/2012 20:46

It all depends on who it is and what she said. Wink

Siane · 10/02/2012 20:46

Do you know what- I don't even want to say cos i've gone bloody paranoid. Feel like an a hole but there you go- is point of this thread...

In order for us to judge, we have to know the full exchange.

Maybe you were rude first.

We will, of course, all agree that you were not being unreasonable if you post the full thing and tell us who the journo is.

JustHecate · 10/02/2012 20:48

x post.

ah well. There you go then...

Now. The exchange of tweets was?

JamRagRolyPoly · 10/02/2012 20:49

Ha! Ive known India since I was little, I'm teeeeelling! Grin

Magneto · 10/02/2012 20:49

Yes I need to see your original tweet and the shirty reply before I can give my opinion.

Dozer · 10/02/2012 20:49

Yabu for finding her amusing / likeable!

CeliaFate · 10/02/2012 20:51

What was the exchange?
I do find all on Twitter to be very egotistical, which is the point I suppose. Some more than others, obviously. I usually like her tweets, it maybe she was having an off day and is now regretting tweeting something snarky to you?

RoxyRobin · 10/02/2012 20:51

I'd guessed it was her as soon as I'd read your post. I really wouldn't bother with her in future.

GrahamTribe · 10/02/2012 20:51

Now we know who she is, I have to agree with Dozer. And that's before you tell us what she said!

Siane · 10/02/2012 20:54

Oh go on then, tell JamRag. Is obviously fate... She just told me to avoid twitter then, but in a shitty way. Was surprised. Thought she would have just said, 'oh bollocks, sorry for giving game away'
Mind you, think IABU for giving it airtime. Need to get a bloody grip

OP posts:
JamRagRolyPoly · 10/02/2012 20:55

Has the show already ended and you haven't caught up? Because in that case she's right, avoid twitter etc as they'll be talking about it

margoandjerry · 10/02/2012 20:55

you do not surprise me. She is officially up herself.

JustHecate · 10/02/2012 20:56

what did she actually say? "in a shitty way" isn't good enough Grin

Irishchic · 10/02/2012 20:57

I am suprised. And disappointed. India knight always comes across so normal, sensible and well adjusted.

Siane · 10/02/2012 20:57

It had just ended. But thought there was unspoken rule to keep schtum since more than half of us watch on catch up..
Anyway. Was a nicer way to tell me.

OP posts:
margoandjerry · 10/02/2012 20:58

Attention-seeking (hence compulsive tweeting) and closet reactionary. Case closed.

MissBerta · 10/02/2012 20:59

Oh I follow her too, I like her but she does get properly shirty if she's challenged!

AitchTwoOhOneTwo · 10/02/2012 21:00

emma kennedy was an absolute cunt to me, lol, quite bizarre. i got tweets from four other people afterwards to say that they were unfollowing her because of it.
i do think having lots of followers can go to one's head. not that i have that problem... @blwdotcom. Wink

Siane · 10/02/2012 21:00

Yes. I instantly lose respect with the ones who act like you've killed their first born after some light criticism. After I've spent a week over bloody thinking it, that is.l

OP posts:
RoxyRobin · 10/02/2012 21:01

As revenge, just keep a mental image in your head of her in the 'onesie' she's been going on about recently.
