Perhaps I should get that last post removed before she sees it in case it tips her over the edge!

Snorbs · 27/01/2012 21:06

6-series are coupes. What with the boot big enough for two golf bags and the room taken up by the roof mechanism, the back seats are surprisingly small.

redrubyshoes · 27/01/2012 21:06

OP - can I pop round for a cup of tea and a listen.?

Openmouthedshock · 27/01/2012 21:06

It's nice. It has to be said.

NOt on credit, house doing-up money, plus other bits we had.

Regardless of source, it in unacceptalbe.

He's gone for a looooooong drive!

Whilst I consider my options.

He's well and truly told and he knows it.

But what ot do now

(am pissed, just finished other half of bottl)

Just said to my DH if you ever do this I will be lived he said I won't I'm not a total dickhead.

Nuff said.

Lovemygirls · 27/01/2012 21:10

Can he take it back? or sell it?

Lovemygirls · 27/01/2012 21:11

Why did he think it was ok to buy it? Especially without checking with you?

Openmouthedshock · 27/01/2012 21:11

Lovemygirls wouldn't call him a dickhead... just a little self-absorbed.

OP posts:
AngiBolen · 27/01/2012 21:11

Let him have it for a bit, and have a bit of fun.

Then he needs to sell it and do up the house.

And drive around in something sensible.

GreenEyesAndHam · 27/01/2012 21:11

I've suddenly got all twitchy about mine and DH's joint savings account Shock

Catsmamma · 27/01/2012 21:12

what an utter jerk!

is there another jerk out there he can sell it on to if he cannot get out of buying it??

what was he thinking? why did he assume that money was his to spend without consultation?

randommoment · 27/01/2012 21:12

Why do so many of our DH's and DP's get an over-whelming urge to buy an idiotic car at a certain age? Can't all be Jeremy Clarkson's fault as I distinctly remember my mum going ballistic in the mid seventies about a Lotus. OTH it was very cool being taken to school in it, even though we were balancing in impossible positions on the funny little shelf behind the main cockpit that was theoretically the back seat.

KirstiesHomeMadeCrap · 27/01/2012 21:12

so you looking after 3 kids and you are drunk? nice.. btw long drive with 3l engine.. nice! you dont seem very pissed to me. more showing off, but thats just me

FabbyChic · 27/01/2012 21:13

Er I work in a car dealership and you can't drive any vehicle away on the same day, so he did not buy it today, he put a deposit on it and collected it today

StealthPenguin · 27/01/2012 21:13

What a cunt!!!

Sorry, but I never use the "c" word unless completely justified - and it's 100% accurate in this context!!

He can fucking sleep in it, the utter utter wanker.

Jesus H Fucking Christ who the fuck does that?!?! I mean seriously - who the actual fuck does that???!!!

Openmouthedshock · 27/01/2012 21:13

My mum's here kirstie so piss off!

He's been told to go for a long drive. Quite understandable

OP posts:
redrubyshoes · 27/01/2012 21:14

Open

Okay. Joking over. I was seriously fucked off when my Ex DH spent £1500 without consulting me never mind £30,000.

Openmouthedshock · 27/01/2012 21:14

Really fabby?

I suppose either way it makes no differnce if he planned to buy it anyway

OP posts:
KirstiesHomeMadeCrap · 27/01/2012 21:15

really.... yeah whatever..

Lovemygirls · 27/01/2012 21:15

You wouldn't call him a dickhead? I'd call him far worse, whose 30k has he spent? Who earnt it?

Seabright · 27/01/2012 21:16

Will there be reports of a murderr on the 10 o'clock news? Do we need to sort you put an alibi?

AngiBolen · 27/01/2012 21:16

For hevens sake, people shouldn't need to check with their spouse before making a major purchase, people should trust each other.

Occasionally people fuck up (as in this case), ut I would be Shock if DH consulted me on a proposed car purchase. Actually he did ask me once, and I pointed out that car was unsuitable for 3 car seats (we had 3 small DC). He bought it anyway.

Openmouthedshock · 27/01/2012 21:16

Yeah whatever kirstie Hmm (are you twelve?)

Whislt it's shit what he's done, all things considered, if you had to take a long drive, that would be a decent car to do it in.

OP posts:
PurplePidjin · 27/01/2012 21:17

DP who is a car nut says it's quite a reasonable buy for that money and will fit the kids in no problem

We both reckon he's a knob for not discussing it though.
