Bend Over you Bad Bad woman.

I can see why a parent might HAVE to leave a child- if on their own with them anyway; on several occasions some idiot has parked so close to both sides of the car that I could not get rear doors open and car seat in. Luckily drivers have usually returned swiftly but that's been luck.

I use P&T spaces with my boys aged 3, 8, 10 and 12- very rarely but on occasion. They are all disabled (well, ds4 and ds2 in assessment but definite SN somewhere) and yet not enough for a disability parking space. Mostly I steer clear of leaving home without an extra adult anyway but if I have to then so be it.

I think there should be special spaces for shoppers with gifted and talented children.

Why should they have to park so far away?

JjandtheBean · 29/12/2011 11:36

Maryz I agree, we'll blame chaos, and ill blame my dcs too for going to bed early thus giving me extra drinking time.

Sparklingbrook · 29/12/2011 11:38

I was on a thread last nigh saying I thought Jeremy Clarkson looked appealing Shock Blush. Was a weird and educational evening for me. Confused

JjandtheBean · 29/12/2011 11:39

Aaah yes I was on there briefly, though I have no idea why.

RockStockAndTwoOpenBottles · 29/12/2011 11:43

IMO we should just blame Chaos for everything...

TandB · 29/12/2011 11:45

Rockstock - no, he arsing well hasn't arrived. I am getting more than a little cross with him! Sitting in doctors right now waiting for another midwife to tell me they won't do a sweep until after 41 weeks.

I need a baby to stuff through the car window!

JjandtheBean · 29/12/2011 11:48

kungfu ill lend you a petite 3yo, she's 24lb so not much over infant carrier weight and the exersion might shift him?

I've strapped my two in through windows many a time, post them in through the boot, they open the windows I strap in, dp some how slivers into the drivers seat and reverses so I can get in like a laydee!

gingergran · 29/12/2011 11:52

once you have a baby do your legs stop working!!!!

RockStockAndTwoOpenBottles · 29/12/2011 11:52

Oh kungfu I feel for you. Shirley and I were wondering last night what news there was actually. Fingers crossed that something will happen soonest.

spiderpig8 · 29/12/2011 11:54

Are you sure they are for parents wwith toddlers , not parent and child ?most of them i see have a picture of a parent and toddler but when you actually read the sign if says for adults accompanied by a child under 12.So a family with a 16 yo and an 11 yo would be well within their rights to park there.

The nearly 30lb 2 year old doesn't seem to be shifting the baby, JJ! Although he does a good line in shouting 'get out baby' at my stomach.

I keep waking up in the early hours with stomach and back ache and thinking 'yes! This is it!'.

And then nothing sodding happens!

WinterWonderlandIsComing · 29/12/2011 11:56

Grin at G&T parking spaces.

Maryz - I am beyond caring about this child's educational, sporting or social prospects. I just want him to get out and stop playing with my internal organs NOW!

He will just have to be crap at sports. Grin

JjandtheBean · 29/12/2011 11:59

Oh bugger kung

I want G&T spaces just so I could piss off the delusional pfb genious child owners.

JjandtheBean · 29/12/2011 12:00

I think fancying JC suggests something stronger than christmas booze, unless she's fell down the stairs recently...

Thumbinnapuddingwitch · 29/12/2011 12:01

Kungfu - you should start a live birth thread like nickel - see if you can have yours before the end of it! unlike nickel who took 3 threads AND an extension to have hers Xmas Grin

SuePurblybilt · 29/12/2011 12:04

Oh yes Kungfu, do. And put it somewhere that those of us who hide nasty parenting topics can find it Grin

ilovemydogandMrObama · 29/12/2011 12:08

how many points do I get for witnessing this:

P & T parking:

White van man
smoking
left children in car
came back with bottle of whiskey,
