I'd like it noted that I was nice.

Sparklingbrook · 28/12/2011 21:32

But don't people with babies have to open the doors really really really really wide?

whomovedmychocolate · 28/12/2011 21:32

Grin @ Norman.

And may I be the first to add: having children is NOT a disability you don't need a big space. Yes you are knackered, yes you are crabby. So's everyone else. Suck it up! :)

ChimesTrulyRing · 28/12/2011 21:33

I have a wide car anyway.

Kill the bastards. Kill them all.

Or at the very least, puncture all their tyres.

EdlessAllenPoe · 28/12/2011 21:35

they are a convenience provided for parents with kids in child seats. so Yanbu.

reelingintheyears · 28/12/2011 21:35

Well i think the shops give these spaces out cos all the mummies spend more money on nappies and stuff.

Never mind that i spend more than they do on ALCOHOL.

And i need to open my doors wide cos i'm pissed.

PossetFeatures · 28/12/2011 21:37

reelingintheyears - Fecking furious! Grin

I am 6 months pg though, and DS is only 10 months so humping him in and out of car with bump is VERY tricky without a larger space! I am happy to park further away and walk, but as I said, does nark me if someone obviously doesn't have kids and parks in the spaces. I wouldn't have done it pre-dc, think it's rude.

BaublesandCuntingCarolSingers · 28/12/2011 21:37

YANBU

It will drive me to kill one day. Remember when you see on the news that a middle-aged mother bludgeoned another shopper to death over a p&c space, it'll probs be me. You're all invited to my day in court.

Sparklingbrook · 28/12/2011 21:38

reeling. We have a car with sliding doors, so probably not allowed to use them.

People with fat arses also need to open the doors wide. What about them?

Kayano · 28/12/2011 21:38

I will ad to the bingo calling: yabu ffs your child will not melt or disintegrate if it gets wet

tigerlillyd02 · 28/12/2011 21:38

I've never noticed it. But my local Asda store gives a penalty to those who park there and don't have a child car seat (not booster) in their car. Suppose that puts most off parking there.

Grin
ChimesTrulyRing · 28/12/2011 21:40

Well I have a wide arse and a wide car so I am doubly entitled.

OP posts:
TandB · 28/12/2011 21:40

Stop shit-stirring, Chaos. You know people will take this seriously and it will descend into carnage! Grin

Actually, I am not sure how I am posting - I couldn't get into the P&T spaces the other day and it was all just a bit too much for me with my 9 month baby bump and 2 year-old in tow. I actually dropped down dead in sheer fury.

And then it began to rain and I disolved.

Serenitysutton · 28/12/2011 21:41

The general public are very lazy aren't they? No wonder most of them are overweight when people become hysterical over a few minutes walk.

Honeydragon · 28/12/2011 21:41

Have you also noticed they rarely correctly capitalise their parking bays properly either.....won't somebody think of the punctuation?

whomovedmychocolate · 28/12/2011 21:41

tigerlillyd02 - how does that work with babyseats which go in the trolley then? You'd come back (avec little mewling baby) to find a ticket no? Confused

SuePurblybilt · 28/12/2011 21:41

Kungfu is clearly a witch.

But what if you have really nice hair? And it's raining?

EmmaBemma · 28/12/2011 21:42

Christ. If I see another thread moaning about the "misuse" of these supermarket perks which have no legal status whatsoever, and before which parents were happily parking in and normally sized spaces, I think I'm going to have to resign from the internet.

reelingintheyears · 28/12/2011 21:42

BaublesandCuntingCarolSingers

Middle aged eh?

I had you down as an older Mum.Xmas Grin

whomovedmychocolate · 28/12/2011 21:42

Oh and if you are heavily pregnant just park across two spaces at the back of the car park like all the builders vans do. That's why no fucker parks back there. It's the crapparkarama zone Grin

ChimesTrulyRing · 28/12/2011 21:42

The disabled bays are further away Jj, or I would.

Honestly, being a mom is such a hard job anyway, surely people could respect my procreating abilities by letting me have the convenient spaces?

Sad
