How often do you see a man you find physically attractive in real life?

Just wondering. I realised today how rare this was for me.

I find my husband attractive. Bizarrely more so simply by being out the house. I saw him in the park today and really fancied him, just as a man. Albeit one that happened to have our kids playing with him. I found myself watching and admiring his shoulders, profile and arse.

I also found myself thinking that outside DH I have only seen 3 instantly physically attractive men in 10 years. The screen seems full of them. Just wondering how attraction works for other people. Also whether seeing your OHs in a different setting makes them more attractive?

I could honestly count on the fingers of one hand how many Ive met since I met DH. Actually, quite possibly the thumbs of one hand.

But I get to see him every day - so I suppose the answer to the question really is - daily?

Two weeks ago I would have said never... but a very gorgeous Dad has started talking to me at the school gates What was even more was that the other day a friend came up and butted in, thinking that the man was dh. (Does that mean that it is really just dh that I fancy?)

Apart from DH I have only been attrcted to about 2 in the 9 years we've been together...they were both crushes at work that lasted about a day!

These actors certainly have something though. I met Christian Slater and he was not someone I had particularly liked before but in person he just radiated "something". As someone said about Jude Law up thread, he was stunningly good looking in a take your breath away kind of way. Unfortunately I was 8 months pregnant and we mostly discussed my due date .

The best looking man I know in real life is my ds's swimming instructor, he looks and sounds like Idris Elba. I can barely look at him when we chat about ds's progress.

I see many men that i find attractive tbh.

But once they open their mouth i find them stupid or arrogant. So i can find men as attractive as dh and even more attractive but not the combination with his personality, does this make sense?

Even small things i.e. an attractive man on the tube who is rude and pretends to read the paper when an old man stands in front of him and i'm thinking 'dh would have given his seat to the old man'.

I am the same with DH, seeing him somewhere else, or when he gets home from work looking slightly rumpled with his sleeves rolled up. Yum.

Not very often, but I did once see a man I couldn't tear my eyes away from on holiday in Cyprus. He was working on a boat and he had shorts and a tight tshirt on and he looked like he was sculpted from marble. First time I have been genuinely unable to stop looking at someone

He did Bibbo! I will never as long as I live see a more beautiful specimen. I would like to say that I was a sophisticated and interesting travelling companion for him but, sadly, I was an embarrassing, giggling twat.

Probably about once a year I might spot one I fancy. Usually not the best looking guy but one that has 'something about him' that I think ummm yes please!

My friend's little brother is so handsome I initially struggled to look at him, let alone talk to him. (I was about 33 when I met him btw). He is film star stunning. The best thing about him is that he is a fantastic guy too: funny, sensitive, intelligent. Fortunately he is also gay so all the mums are safe from his charms at least.

I agree cece - it's like that with me - it's just a certain something that makes my heart beat...and not normally a chiselled jaw.

There have been a few who I would have turned down Brad Pitt/ Johnny Depp etc for. Found them outrageously attractive.

Other than DH, I've only ever seen two men in my whole adult life (I'm 45) that I found mesmerizing. One was an RAC man , he walked past the shop I worked in and he was beautiful, the other was a fireman - must have been his helmet .
