Sorry daily mail article :)

It looks as if the supervision in that nursery wasn't very good. I know violent incidents happen but the staff should have kept a close eye on a child with a habit of beating other children up. I am sorry for the little girl with the horrible bruises. I can't blame the mother without knowing more about her - the DM is very good at blaming people with little evidence. I am surprised that no other children have tried to stand up to this girl - she is only two and the article mentions even a four year old boy was hurt by her. Of course it is wrong to fight but children should be taught to stand up for themselves if they have to.

My guess is that the 'Chucky' misnomer was applied by the Daily Mail to incite anger and hysteria - I don't believe for one second that the adults or anyone else involved in the case would publicly use that name for any child - fucking deplorable!!

My DS was attacked at nursery when he was almost 3 by a child who sank his nails into my DSs cheeks and dragged them - my son had 3 deep scratches on each cheek and he still has the scars now aged 10.

When the nursery manager called me in to explain my sons injuries and that the other child had SN and his mother was mortified

Very well said prettyfly1!

GlueSticksEverywhere · 23/12/2011 09:58

How does the mum know that each of the attacks were commited by the same girl?

MrsBradleyCooper · 23/12/2011 10:01

How does anyone even know that it was the 2 year old that carried out the attack!!! No-one was flipping watching!!!

Condemnation of the 2 year old's mother without knowing anything about her is incredibly unfair.

It's pretty sickening actually as that mother could be any of us!

Been reading the stuff on here about this story and I'm pleased everyone is being so level headed about this hysteria.

Because I've just read this awful exchange on Huffington Post:

"Madatheart | 4 hours ago
I'd say the 2 year old needs to be removed from it's parents, not the nursery

I'd say removed from the planet!

This is about a two year old, a baby who doesn't know any better.

That could be any one of us being doorstepped by the tabloids and our child being labelled for the rest of his/her life, and our families being crawled all over and accused of all kinds fo nasty things like abuse. All because of an alleged attack by a child too young to know any better at a poorly supervised nursery.

Makes my skin crawl because earlier this year I went to collect my 3 yo and a girl about a year older came and said to me "He hurt me! He nipped me!" and just as I was telling him off, one of the nursery staff took me aside and told me that the little girl was telling tales, that she did this a lot to get other kids in trouble. To think that could have been my child in trouble and labelled and fodder for sickos to comment and say should be "removed from the planet"....makes me feel sick.....

To clarify - it would appear that the 'biter's' mother is actually a playworker within the nursery/playgroup and NOT a childminder in the sense most folk would understand.

The victims mother Clara Mackow has a public facebook page where she has uploaded TV interviews and coverage of the incident.

Ofsted are now investigating as the child was not protected from harm. Not the fault of the 2 year old biter, any child can do awful things if there are no adults to show guidance and stimulation.

I hope the children involved recover well mentally and physically from this.

Moominsarescary · 24/12/2011 01:12

There are some bloody sick people around, let's hope those who think this baby should be removed from the planet haven't got children of their own

Anyone with an ounce of commen sense knows that little children do these things, luckily most nurseries keep a better eye on the children than this one

I haven't read through all the post and apologise if i am only repeating what some else has said, after reading the article from several different papers my over all feeling is that the 2 year "tiny thug" (as dubbed in the sun) is really not to blame and her mother choosing not to take part in this article is the best thing.

It is hearsay that she "attacked" 10 other children, also when reading the accident report (and really why has that been printed) the carers have clearly stated that a "another child" you can't possibly know that one child is responsible for all attacks, also you may say that 'katie' told us it was her, but i would take that with a pinch of salt.

The one entry where the carer is told by another child that she was crying and it was revealed that she had 3 bite wounds on her face, makes me worry about supervision and how it was not noticed earlier.
