To be hugely pissed of with my radical feminist friend.

She was at my house this morning and felt it her place to lecture me that because I am married I am in servitude. (WTF!) And another lecture that allowing my husband to have PIV sex with me was tanatamount to him sexualy assaulting me on a regular basis.

Now I can utterly accept her not wanting to have PIV sex. But who the fuck is she to tell me I damn well shouldnt? She then banged on that it was abusive due to the risk of unwanted pregnancy. (DH has had the snip, so no risk) I happen to like being penetrated and will happily penetrate myself for enjoyment.
Sex for me is a very varied thing and involves many things.

I know that some feminists have strong views on marriage, but again its my life and MY choice. And I certainly dont live in any kind of bloody servitude.

I think the definition of the work goes back far enough that it doesn't say anything about society today.

Yes I'm with Ella

I know it means that.

But why?

Originally, it just meant sexual interaction. If anyone talks about sexual interaction nowadays, they mean any sort of sexual activity, including kissing. Sexual intercourse is just an archaic way of saying sexual interaction and it has been redefined as having to include a penis and a vagina - ie a heterosexual couple with a penis entering a vagina.

When I was young, I even remember people saying that if a man didn't come, then you hadn't really had sex. Tht's how penis-centric sex was seen. (And maybe still is for all I know)

Uppity · 17/10/2011 22:08

But as we all know, sexual intercourse only began in 1963

gordyslovesheep · 17/10/2011 22:08

as a feminist I much prefer VOP sex [hgrin]

EllaDee · 17/10/2011 22:09

How far back does it go, do you know? (I don't).

I can see your point, I think that makes perfect sense. I don't agree - but life would be very dull if we all did.

EllaDee · 17/10/2011 22:12

Nice, gordy. Grin

I will share a little story that reflects badly on a (drunk, to be fair) acquaintance of mine. We were talking about penetration, as you do if you're me, and my mate says, 'so you can think of it as the vagina enveloping the penis, right?' and her boyfriend goes a bit green, and thinks about it, and comes out with 'but ... it'd have to be a huge vagina for that, Ella!'.

Bless him.

hully get off my bollocks, you bollock-thief

rycooler · 17/10/2011 22:26

PIV is the sexual joining of two bodies - it feels amazing and you add to the fantastic sensual experience by kissing passionately. I don't know how you top that tbh. It's the ultimate sexual 'intercourse'.

ry - I enjoy it too! Grin

But I suspect there are lesbians and gay men who know what they prefer, too ..

(And not a few straight men and women who prefer something else, either.).

Or maybe there just aren't enough cobwebs in my life ...

It's ok, we won't tell your DH.

Die Hard just doesn't quite do it for me somehow ... not my type! But it's a step up from your first description I grant. Grin

Whatmeworry · 17/10/2011 22:38

She needs a good shag methinks....

Oh, yes, Alan Rickman has a wonderful voice! And a nice sexy slow way of speaking.

It is bad I'm thinking of the Harry Potter films this way, isn't it?!

rycooler · 17/10/2011 22:43

Yes Ella - it probably is Grin

Ah well, at least I can honestly admit I've never found either Rupert Grint or t'other one the least bit sexy, so there is that off my conscience!

It's interesting what you say about sexy voices though - I really think people under estimate the power they have. I've been known to play back phone messages 3 or 4 times left by callers with sexy voices.

EllaDee · 17/10/2011 22:53

You have callers with sexy voices? I just get the man who has a brilliant opportunity for homeowners in my area calling us. Sad

I heard that even babies will listen longer to a voice that has certain qualities that adults recognize as attractive. Dunno what that says about sex appeal but it sounds as if a nice voice is more important than we think!

sugar - well, I know a few men who quite like him, put it that way ...

From Alan Rickman to Yorkshire Consevatory Cold Callers ... I think the progression of this thread means it's time for me to call it a night!
