And fwiw its worth op, my au pair is from Poland and she gets half a day off once a month to rest. See. Much nicer. AND I never buy clothes from Boden. VAIR last year. I would like to have myself officially removed from your list of wanton slaughter at appointed day of reckoning time :)

dearheart · 14/10/2011 12:21

It made me laugh out loud.

JeremyVile · 14/10/2011 12:22

The pom bear shit was shit.

rycooler · 14/10/2011 12:22

Oh dear - Hullly's got some competition and she's jel

TobyLeWolef · 14/10/2011 12:23

Placeholding to watch later.

rettam · 14/10/2011 12:23

I think Hully's spot on. Smile

worraliberty · 14/10/2011 12:23

It makes sense to me Hully and that's the main thing Grin

PhylisStein · 14/10/2011 12:24

Absolutely fabulous!

rycooler · 14/10/2011 12:24

The pom bear thread was shite - not funny at all.

Hullygully · 14/10/2011 12:24
ScarahStratton · 14/10/2011 12:27

Huzzah! Hully and I are on the same page. [hgrin]

All PARDs are off.

Bogeymanface · 14/10/2011 12:27

Meh....

Not at all offended, given that I dont tick a single box (she didnt mention Le Creuset :o ), but this didnt do it for me. I felt like I should have been laughing but it didnt happen!

worraliberty · 14/10/2011 12:28
Wink
ScarahStratton · 14/10/2011 12:28

I have Aga pans

Hullygully · 14/10/2011 12:29

I have agapanthus no I don't

Bogeymanface · 14/10/2011 12:30

I think Hully has hit the nail on the head, its the cliche that the Daily Mail et al have bought into and this perpetuates that myth that all MNers are as the OP described them.

Now had she said Netmums she would have been spot on :o [ducks to avoid flying tickers and hugz]

gordyslovesheep · 14/10/2011 12:32

I LOVED it - thank you [hgrin]

becstarsky · 14/10/2011 12:33

Found it very funny. Liked the voicemail thing on the ITV4 clip too. Didn't like the rape joke. Never like those.

FlossieFromCrapstonVillas · 14/10/2011 12:34

There will always be cliches with somewhere are well known and popular as Mumsnet. If the OP did a routine about Pom Bears or naice ham etc the joke is lost, these are 'in' jokes - (I use the term loosely.)

There was material she could have added but sometimes it's healthy to laugh at yourself, why some of you are taking this personally is funnier.

LingDiLong · 14/10/2011 12:34

Don't we all stereotype to a certain extent though? I doubt if everyone on Netmums is a stupid and ticker-obsessed as they are portrayed on here. Is all the ranting about netmums sexist too?

welliesandpyjamas · 14/10/2011 12:35

I give it 5/10
The over-reliance on stereotype killed it for me but Fair Play for a new source of material in comedy.

bibbitybobbityhat · 14/10/2011 12:37

I think its good to laugh at yourself and if op is a regular poster then this is what she is doing. I very much doubt that everyone in the audience thinks that Mumsnet is exactly as she describes - people have more sense.

My dh loves Jo Brand (as do I) even though she can be utterly vicious about men.

coraltoes · 14/10/2011 12:37

I enjoyed the clip, and from my shortish time on here i think she has nailed quite a lot of the posters. As can be seen by the responses to this thread, some of you take yourselves WAY too seriously, and are indeed chuffingly condescending. C for effort?! Who the fuck died and made you headmistreess?

Jesus some people on here...

And comedienne is grammatically correct, why the hate?!

What the hell was the pom bear thread?

Hullygully · 14/10/2011 12:38

Actually it's a good clip as far as the sheep and goats goes.
