Quite LeQueen, talking as someone that can be a bitch.
Smile.
And I have been known to call my ex a bastarding shit, though have never written a comedy routine about it.

No, I think it it was her agent, but by Christ she's been handed future material on a plate from this thread alone!

I'm afraid I don't stride through life calling women smug complacent bitches, or being happy if I'm called that because I'm too scared or conformist to challenge misogyny.

Mind you if I did, a career in uncomedic comedy might be calling.

Shinyshoes1 · 17/10/2011 18:13

I guess I'm the only one that though it was a load of crap then Hmm

I didn't even attempt to crack a smile, never mind laughing Confused

Not for me sorry

I wasn't expecting to find it funny, but I very much did. excellent Grin

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 17/10/2011 18:35

If I ever found myself hugging an organic cow, driving a 4x4 or making the au pair build my extension, I would be so utterly horrified at what I'd become that I would fully accept the title of 'smug, complacent bitch' as penance Grin

JamieComeHome · 17/10/2011 18:35

Shinyshoe- no - I agreed with you about 15 pages ago

usualsuspect · 17/10/2011 18:40

It wasn't funny

It was lazy comedy

exoticfruits · 17/10/2011 18:55

Isn't comedy allowed to be lazy? Confused
AIBU is a gift to anyone-why not take the easy way and use it?

exoticfruits · 17/10/2011 18:55

I thought it was funny.

rycooler · 17/10/2011 18:58

What's lazy comedy?

usualsuspect · 17/10/2011 18:59

I wanted to think it was funny

I didn't

usualsuspect · 17/10/2011 19:01

Just using the same old Clichés that are used on here by lots of posters

I've read threads almost identical to that sketch

rycooler · 17/10/2011 19:01

Is that your answer? -

A bit lazy.

lechildrenofthecornsilk · 17/10/2011 19:03

you lazy caaah usualsuspect

exoticfruits · 17/10/2011 19:05

I think that she should count it as practice and do another.

Jux · 17/10/2011 19:13

I'm not a smug complacent bitch, not ever. I am, however, a nest of vipers.

begonyabampot · 17/10/2011 19:21

her delivery was good, IMO anyway and her accent certainly helped. Yes there are funny posters and funny comments on some funny and wacky treads but that is a world away from writing a routine and delivering it in front of an unknown audience. And what some people find funny on here might not sound so funny being said in front of an audience. I doubt it is that easy or more of us would be doing it.
